“It was truly a wonderfully comfortable room.”
I had seen comments saying that the location was hard to find and that it could be somewhat noisy at night, so I was a bit concerned, but I personally did not find either to be bothersome. They provided earplugs in the room, but I didn't need to use them. I took the shuttle bus H31, which is for people who purchased Shinkansen tickets (free for those with tickets or passes!), from Tainan Station to downtown Tainan. It took about 40 to 50 minutes, but I was really grateful for it since Tainan is quite far from the Shinkansen station to the city center (I think a round trip by taxi would be quite expensive). The bus stop I got off at was "Xiaon西門 (Ximen Road)." There was "Shin Kong Mitsukoshi" diagonally across, so I used that as a landmark for my return. The location of the return bus stop was a bit hard to find, but I got some guidance from Shin Kong Mitsukoshi beforehand. To get to this facility, it's a short walk from that bus stop, and from there, I followed Google Maps and had no trouble navigating through the alleys. It is a really lovely building with a renovated first floor that has a café! When I arrived, I was offered a welcome drink. I asked for orange juice, which tasted very similar to Japanese mandarins and was very delicious! The pudding I received was also very tasty. Since I was supposed to pay on-site, I hadn't settled the payment yet, but a male staff member recommended an upgrade for my room. I was a bit disappointed that I could only book a room with a shower initially, but they were able to offer me one with a bathtub as well, which increased the price slightly but not excessively, so I decided to go for that option. When I returned after wandering around the city and checked in, the room was even more wonderful than it appeared in the photos, and I regretted only staying one night; I should have stayed longer in such a beautiful room. I appreciated that the bathtub and shower were separate. Both the room and bathroom were spacious, and there was a small garden where I could enjoy what I had bought elegantly. I had to leave super early the next morning, so I wished I could have taken my time in the morning and relaxed while feeling the atmosphere of Tainan. One slightly disappointing thing was that I was so happy with the room that I wanted to send a message to my friends recommending it, and I praised it in a message after checking out, but I didn't receive a reply, which was a bit disappointing since they might have been busy after checkout. However, I would like to use this place again when I visit Tainan.
