Review of Tamarind Resort I recently stayed at Tamarind Resort, and overall, my experience was positive with a few areas for improvement. The Positives: First, the staff was warm, friendly, and very welcoming. The hotel itself was clean and well-maintained, and our room was tidied up every day, which we appreciated. We stayed in a spacious and comfortable 2-bedroom villa, which made our stay feel very relaxing. The pool was also a nice highlight, offering a great space to unwind. Room for Improvement: The main issue I had was around check-in. I reached out three times prior to our stay to confirm an early check-in due to our flight schedule. When we arrived around 9 am, we were initially told we could check in early if the villa was unoccupied. However, despite it being available, we were informed it wasn’t ready due to air-conditioning maintenance. This felt disappointing, especially after my prior communication. Additionally, the TVs in the room were surprisingly small, almost the size of my iPad, and the signal quality was poor. The WiFi was inconsistent, frequently dropping out, so I ended up relying on my mobile data. While this wasn’t a huge issue, it felt like a letdown considering the rate we paid. One more thing to note is the road leading to the hotel. It’s in very poor condition, which made arriving a bit challenging and didn’t give the best first impression. Overall Thoughts: While my stay was generally enjoyable, the price felt a bit high for what was offered, especially considering the WiFi, TV, and communication hiccups, along with the rough access road.
