Upper Normandy hotels & accommodations
After a very friendly reception and parking the holiday-packed car in a locked garage we had an inquisitive look around our room.We were very pleased with our room in the first floor with view to the rugby stadium. GREEN. Bathroom had a very spacious modern shower cubicle of 120x90 cm-we use the same at home. The installations were modern and tastefull. Furniture was f...
good bathroom and shower, comfy bed. parking available. tram in front. no good restaurants nearby
It was first class, the receptionist was so helpful and accommodating, we will definately be returning. Ideal for the port.
I stayed in room 341 which I highly recommend (romantic imo, so great for couples); it probably has the best view on the cathedral and a large bathroom. It is the top corner room in the building, last floor by stairs. Very good quality place, friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was great, with lots of choice.
Not a place for a romantic weekend, but great for a business traveler to stay overnight or for travelers on the go. Rooms are quite small, but very efficient and clean. We even had a small kitchen.
Great value, room basic but linen spotless. Excellent location, parking discount for the underground parking very good but bit of a problem if you have a lot of luggage as parking close to hotel very difficult. However as the location is so central to be expected.
I loved my stay at this hotel. It was located right on the beautiful foreshore of Etretat coastline and walking distance to everything - including the village and restaurants, busline, major attractions. The rooms were comfortable and the staff were very friendly. there is no lift, so be warning, we were on the top floor and it was difficult with our luggage, but the...
We use this as a stopover to our holiday home several times a year. It accepts our two dogs and is just off the motorway so while not scenic is so convenient and next to a handful of good places to eat and drink. Also has kettle in room - a bonus these days.
The hotel is just superb. The construction is several centuries old (15 or 16th I guess). It's located just above one of the best restaurant in town. You don't have to walk to get there ! The breakfast is also excellent. The service is simple, but good. A very nice lady from Texas living in the city is working at the hotel. It makes the communication much easier ! Th...
Bath/shower old and peculiar with small tub and sink bowl broken
The hotel location is excellent - along hill slope that you can either walk to the beach or enjoy seaview at a higher level easily. Restaurant is nice with good food at reasonable price. The hotel environment is quiet and makes people feel relaxed. Parking lot is spacious. Staff can speak fluent English and very helpful.
we stayed in the hotel for 5 nights with a 2 month old baby. the room was perfect, a travel cot was supplied. we were given a room that way remote from the others in case the baby wakes un in the night. we received a very warm welcome. the hotel is nicely located 1 min walking distance from the cathedral. really cheap, but excellent value!
No help from staff for using printer/computer available for customer use (the printer had a paper jam which the staff refused to look at). Staff were friendly, polite, but not helpful.
Beware tourist tax! I booked online and the booking said all taxes included, when I checked out, they wanted to take tourist tax from me! Think this should be made clear when booking. Other than that, a fantastic stay and I couldn't fault it.
We stayed at this Ibis budget and found it to be a comfortable stopover. Breakfast was ample and we shared the experience with a number of Gendarmes who were staying there also. Staff were very friendly and helpful. One word of warning, there is limited options for an evening meal after checking in. We directed to the Courtpaille which is a few hundred metres from ...
The good thing of this hotel is free private parking but the hotel was old furnished and furniture was worn out. Cleanliness of room should be improved. Not recommend if you plan to stay more than 1 night.
Small room but very clean and comfortable. Avoid the local sushi restaurant about 2 km from hotel, worst meal ever and rip off price.
The hotel was fine, suited our purpose (we have been there before), and the location is OK. We appreciate the free parking at the back of the hotel - off the main road. We did think that the menu price was a little higher than it should have been, but the food was fine. Somebody should look at the English translation of the menus on the menu card, it is a hoot! If ...
This hotel is right by the Seine river, is easy to find without going into the town centre and you can park on the road outside the hotel for free on Sundays and use their car park for all other days which is in the basement of the Mercure hotel next to the hotel for 60fr per hour. The Ibis rooms are basic but modern and are certainly fine for 1 or 2 nights plus they p...
Clean bedroom and bathroom. Provided with towels, liquid soap and toilet paper. Strong WiFi. Multi Channel TV Quiet hotel. Free car park. Attention = Need to paid Tourist tax, per night, per person (between0,30c / 0,80c Euro)
We felt almost at home as the staff is very friendly and helpful. Great location. We had everything we needed from gluten free bread to magazines to read and even borrowed a screwdriver! We will definitively come back.
We had a nice stay here. Parking places in the street in front of hotel - paid parking, but not that expensive. Staff is very friendly. We paid extra for breakfast, but it was nice with fresh croissants. Room is a bit small, but fine for a night or 2. Very close to the trainstation
Really easy to get to and great for onward journey next day to the tunnel crossing. Our only complaint is no kettles in the room as we like to do a flask of hot water for the journey home next day.
The hotel is part of a modern development with shops, bars, restaurants and a basement car park. We have a large car and were pleasantly impressed by the width of the parking spaces. A lift connects directly to the hotel reception. Our room overlooked the square at the front of the hotel. It was adequately functional, but a little tired looking. The bathroom was compa...
Perfectly reasonable hotel in need of a makeover. No frills but bed for the night. The town on the other hand is well worth a visit. Almost glad I missed my ferry and spent the day here!
Room presentable and clean. Food very good both evening and breakfast. Good parking with locking gate after 11.00pm. Would stay here again and would recommend to a friend.
I will never come again. Lack of maintenance, very dirty.
We had an overnight stay here while travelling from Liverpool to Normandy and that is all we could have handled ! We had requested 2 twin rooms as travelling with our teenage children but were given doubles. One room had a broken light which meant you needed to use the bathroom light to see anything after dark. Although clean and functional, it was extremely basic and ...
Hotel very run down in corridors and bedrooms. Ok, my room had a balcony but the traffic noise made open windows impossible. Please note Rouen is undergoing major road and building reconstruction which is causing great traffic upheaval, July 2012.

Clean bedroom and bathroom. Provided with towels, liquid soap and toilet paper. Strong WiFi. Multi Channel TV Quiet hotel. Free car park. Attention = Need to paid Tourist tax, per night, per person (between0,30c / 0,80c Euro)
Arab rude staffs and arabs guests who talk really loud until 5:00am. I could not sleep and the hotel smell like the toilet. The same staff who clean the room, work in information as well. It took 3 hours to check in for me! I arrived at 12am and I had my room at 15:00! Then they said it’s exceptional!
Unpleasant, noisy, damp bedsheets, impersonal.
stayed for one night on the way to race. Everything you would expect for the price. only criticism I have is the safety catch on the bunk bed did not work safely.

Very clean, good sized room for a budget hotel. Excellent shower Lots of supermarkets close by

Thanks for the clean and affordable room. Breakfast was ok. you have to make sure what time they open for check-in. Before the check in time, the main door is usually locked and no one is around.
Very handy hotel, easy access, clean tidy and rooms a good size
It was first class, the receptionist was so helpful and accommodating, we will definately be returning. Ideal for the port.

The room facilities and breakfast were of a good standard. However., the shower was over the bath and there were no grab rails provided which made for potentially dangerous showering. The most disappointing aspect of the room was the 'air conditioning',. As it was hot at the time we were in Rouen, I specifically selected a hotel which had air conditioned rooms. When w...

our stay at the hotel was great after the manager had sorted a problem with the booking we used it as a base for visiting the d day commomerations
Friendly staff, clean and nice room for the price we paid.
I will never come again. Lack of maintenance, very dirty.
Very pleasant stay. Madame was very helpful and her English was much better than our French. Right next to Leclerc and main roads, but quiet, pretty gardens with seating. Large carpark. Nice choice of bread and pastries for breakfast. Rooms are very individually styled and we were given larger room because it was available. We had trouble finding cause weren't on lin...

Convenient Budget stop off on way back to UK. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.. everything you need for an overnight stop. Again better than expected.
The hotel was perfect for my needs for a one night stay on the way to Dieppe. The only problem was that I was unable to connect to Wifi. I would want to know that this is not a continuing problem.
Bath/shower old and peculiar with small tub and sink bowl broken
will use again ideal stopover for us on our travels to/from s.france.

We only stayed one night as we were travelling from Dordogne to Calais but it was a comfortable clean nights stay. It’s easy to miss so perhaps some clearer instructions on the slip road might help as Sat Nav, using the actual address took us to the other side if the carriageway. On our particular night the service in the restaurant was very slow but we had no other a...
One night in August: smooth check in, staff had acknowledged my request for the bed and it was done in 2 mn very professionally. Quiet, comfortable single room with all expected amenities and conveniently located. Still, I remember visiting this hotel nearly 10y ago and absolutely nothing has changed, deco feels worn out. Very small jacuzzi and if you look at the roof ...

Luxury hotels in Upper Normandy
We were very pleased that the hotel took strong effort (free upgrade) in order to meet our request of having 2 rooms near each other. We really appreciate it. We really enjoy our stay at hotel, with it's spacious and modern room, my children said it was the best hotel we have stayed throughout our 1 week holiday in Normandy.
