Things I like

The location was great - lots of restaurant options and close to both the metro and bus stop. The apartment was probably fine for 2 people - 3 people (thank goodness we were family) felt a bit cramped. The washer and dryer was great though and generally ok to figure out how to use. Plenty of dishes and flatware which is not always the case. Luggage storage is super tight though so we were kinda spread out. I know apartments are small in Paris and this is an old building. The spiral staircase was actually not bad to navigate multiple times a day either. In general though it was as expected and we managed pretty well.

Things I don’t like

My biggest complaint was the lack of any paper towels/extra cloths for wiping up anything in the kitchen. There was one dish towel and that was it. We were about to buy a roll of paper towels but ended up just grabbing extra napkins whenever we ate and bringing those back. The fridge moves though under that cabinet so it's really easy to catch the door on the edge of the cabinet - and then the fridge door doesn't close. I was frequently double checking to make sure it actually closed (over 50% of the time it doesn't - you have to push it past b/c it's hung up on the edge). The shower door doesn't close completely - maybe it does with enough force but we were not about to test that idea and break the door. So really easy to splash water outside onto the floor. Kitchen is tiny but met our needs as we were not trying to cook - again to be expected.

The location was ideal!

Things I don’t like

It got very hot at night (late May). Leaving the windows open allowed cool air in, but there was a lot of street noise and cigarette smoke from the cafes and bistros below. The apartment only had one fan to use, and that helped somewhat with the excess heat in the apartment. Also the shower is very tiny.
