La Defense is not main city center. But it's a new area in Paris. There is almost the end of the stop in line 1 but there are huge shopping center at the last stop.(Actually the next stop) And it's not far from city center by subway and the hotel locates a front of the station. The room is quite huge than other's. We had a good time there.

Excellent location, comfortable room”

Location was excellent since it's literally right in front of Esplanade de La Defense metro station. The room (bed, pillows, bathroom) were great, though the air conditioning could have been a bit colder. However I do have one bad review - the receptionist was very curt. He didn't really do a good job of making me feel welcome, and he wasn't familiar with Agoda so I was asked to forward my agoda confirmation email thrice. It took 30mins to check in, after which he asked me to wait for his colleague to take my bags for storage. I waited 15-20mins, finally got impatient so I asked a different receptionist for bag storage and she immediately accommodated me. The rest of the staff were really extra polite and helpful, it's just that one man at the reception who was a bit unfriendly.

Convenient, friendly and helpful staffs, comfortable room ”

We will definitely be back again on our next visit to Paris. All the Spanish Staffs are friendly and helpful. Comfortable room and it's convenient for metro station, there is less than 3 mins walk to metro station from hotel. We are so lucky to choose this hotel as our 1st stayed on our 1st time to Paris. cheers Melia

Excellent hotel staff ”

Last week, my brother and I had a wonderful time during our hotelstay. We got into a trouble with communicating with the Uber driver because we could not speak French plus the new hotel location was hardly googled. One of the hotel staff called David helped us tremendously. He was actually helping another group of customers with their transport at the same time. But he kept on assisting us to answer those difficult phone calls. Not only that, when the uber ride was approached, he ran quickly to a far distance onto a road ( yes, run not walk). He tried to give signal to that driver to enter the right lane. We were amazed!!! At the end, the driver gave up coming. David arranged another transportation for us. Another reception lady called Kendra was so nice too. She helped us to plan our travel journey. We got useful tips from her especially the transportation. She was so friendly and cheerful. She brightened up our days in Paris everyday. I appreciate your help, Kendra and David!

Nice modern and comfortable to stay”

Overall very satisfied with the hotel and its services and also the staffs. The reception is very helpful and could communicate very well in English. Very informative and I ended up upgrading my normal room to a better room with a much better view of Eiffel Tower, of course need to top up but wouldn't know if I wasn't informed by the reception. The place is in a business district so not very convenient for those who is having holiday however, just one Metro station away called La Defense, theres a big mall to do last minute shopping. The location is very presentative for business meetings. The taxi fare to Charles De Gaule Airport is pretty reasonable and feels safe as the taxi company is hotel's affiliation.

Exceptional”

The Hotel is beautiful, but location is everything. The yellow line Metro is right outside the front door. This line will take you anywhere you want to be with minimal transfers. I flew into Orly from Toulouse. I was able to go directly to the hotel on Orlyval with one transfer in under an hour. My hotel room was ready and perfect; with views of the Arche. If you have an early flight or simply want to make sure you get to CDG with the least amount of issues, ask the hotel to arrange at taxi. It’s on time and comfortable, worth the money. Sit outside in the evenings and watch the Eiffel Tower light up, run along the river. My favorite Paris Hotel.

Highly recommended! Good value for money, perfect location, metro station just in front of the hotel, big shopping mall just nearby the hotel, very friendly staff and helpful, room was big, clean and amazing view of Paris city esp. Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe. I will definitely come back and stay at this hotel again!

Conveniently located next to Metro, walking distance to Les Quatre Temps”

i booked a double room (single large bed) but got a twin room (2 single beds) instead. didn't request for an exchange as the hotel seems to be fully booked and i couldn't be bothered with the request. ignoring the above, hotel is fantastic, breakfast spread is good, location is good, accessibility to central Paris is good as it's next to the Metro. however, getting cabs here would be a fair challenge as many drivers don't seem to know how to navigate themselves here. nonetheless, 4.5 out of 5 stars, just for quality of hotel alone!

Very modern hotel.”

We stay here in August 2015 for 4 nights we loved our stay. It is in the buiness district of Paris a few stops for the center. We go a room with a good view of the effiel tower and this was just a standard room. The sky bar is really stunning :) Really happy with this hotel.

Very good”

I've stayed for 5 nights for conference and meeting and it was great. They had wonderful staff, very helpful. room was very clean and excellent, large for european hotel size. The buffet breakfast were extensive. About location, it is a quiet area and took 10 minutes to reach downtown by metro, but the explanade la defence metro station is just in front of the hotel. The only downside of location is no food place and resto around (except inside the hotel). Make sure you had your dinner outside before returned to the hotel area. Overall, I enjoyed my stay...

How to love Paris more due to Melia Hotel”

everything was woundering! Nice view, so it's pleasant to enjoy of Paris. Room was very comfortable, but some difficulties with condition (not regulated)

i really enjoy this place, the metro la defence is in front of the hotel. good service clean and new but for asian i think we didn't use to the air conditioner like that its too quiet and dont have wind came out like the others air conditioner i have ever seen.

Positives : Rooms are neat and clean. The breakfast was very good, Staff are cooperative , Negatives: * At my last day in the Hotel restaurant I found a big rat running inside the restaurant towards the kitchen, and the staff noticed that, and I told them who can guarantee that the food was not exposed and contaminated from the rats ., and one of the staff told me that rats is normal to find them inside the restaurants in Paris . I was really shocked.

the hotel is located next to subway station, rooms are in excellent condition, we had view of the Tower. staff is helpful and friendly. bfast is a great, healthy selection. overall was a great experience.

Clean modern room, directly above metro line 1. Very convenient. However they should consider opening a open air sky bar wish such a stunning view over Paris city.

Great hotel with great location ”

The hotel is located right in front of the metro. Seriously just in front . Making our traveling so easy and pleasant The hotel is new therefore it is clean and smell good. We just came back and it was very cold at this time around . However we don't feel the coldness in the room. The room has very good heat insulation . The only thing is this hotel doesn't provide water bottle so u need to boil water daily I ll definitely stay here again without doubt.

Hotel room is big , clean and nice, staff at reception is very less to attended guest needs, language barrier on customer service. Bellman is very helpful and knowledgeable. Worth staying , but away from main city center.

Fantastic location”

This hotel is right opposite the under ground, lovely and clean, rooms are nicely decorated. Breakfast was fantastic. WE enjoyed our self here and will differently be back.
