"I had informed the hotel that I would be reaching around 11 pm at night. After coming in from a long flight, the front office staff informed me that the elevator was not functioning and that I'd had to take my bag up the stairs. I was allotted a room on the 2nd floor. When I reached there the room was unmade and dirty. I went back down and was allotted another room on the 1st floor. I went up to the room only to open it and find that it was occupied by another guest! The front desk staff said that "there might be some problem in the system" and hence he thought the room was empty. After much struggle, I was finally given a room on the 5th floor. Not the kind of experience I was expecting from Mercure. "
