I travel widely and have stayed in many hotels. Never have I encountered such unpleasant experience. My daily medication and some other personal items were placed in a blue plastic bag. I placed this bag together with another similar blue bag (with other items) on the table, in the morning. When I returned in the evening, there was only ONE bag left on the table. My bag of daily medications was missing from the room. I questioned the staff who checked the CCTV that showed the cleaner taking out a similar coloured bag from the room. Apparently the bag that lined the dustbin (in the room) was exactly similar to my own plastic bags containing my meds. I requested that the hotel issued me a letter stating the incident - that the cleaner may have thrown away my bag of meds. I needed the letter to get my doctor to re-issue me a new prescription. The hotel staff, delayed attending to my request until I pursued it as I was going to check out soon. The hotel manager, Ms Wong, turned defensive and refused to issue the letter. She even became agitated and raised her voice tone to question me as to what evidence that I could produce to show that I had actually brought my medication to the hotel!! She ended by saying that the hotel wont issue the letter. All that I could do, is to make a police statement. And I did that. What a nasty unpleasant experience. Instead of providing assistance to the guest, the hotel denied any wrongdoing and even challenge the guest. The whole incident had really soured my initial enjoyable experience of visit of the wonderful country.

The only reason we chose this hotel because of the perfect location. Walking distance to Pearl River, Digital City, New China Clothing Market, Yide Lu Toys Market & Onelink Plaza. Very near to muslim halal dining place across the road. Near to Metro station Cultural Park. Also, it is more or less centre to other attraction that don’t rip my pocket for taxi/Didi fares. Cleanliness is average. Staff don’t understand english that much; need to use translator apps. Wifi is restricted and only can be used for China apps or web. Need roaming/VPN for other international apps. Will i stay at this hotel again in the future? Yes!
