Lovely place”

We had a lovely stay at Rosaël, the duplex room was spacious, had a large balcony and the kitchen was well equipped. The location of the chalet was great, with ski in and ski out, opposite a groceries shop and right in the town. The ski hire shop was in the property and well organised which was handy. You could also order pastries and fresh bread every morning from reception which was a bonus. Finally the staff were lovely and gave us free beers!

The rooms were a good size and the apartment had everything we needed.
The apartment was not particularly clean, the floors were especially dirty. The beds were old, uncomfortable and stained. One pillow had a blood stain.

Not very clean. Dusty Tired and broken items. Though they did fix them. Ski out is a walk across the car park Very limited car parking. Be prepared to park in the village car park instead which is cheaper

The apartment is really small. We had the apartment for 8 people but we were with 5 persons in total. Even for 5 it wasn’t that spacious. On the photo’s on booking it looks way better then it in reality is.

Very disappointing room but fantastic location”

The breakfast was delicious and the location was 10&#47;10 (although not true ski in ski out - you had to walk to the piste). The hotel restaurant was also very delicious - we went twice! The staff were all very friendly.
The room smelt of damp (1 bathroom in particular was so bad you had to hold breath). 2 of the 3 showers were broken (1 didn’t drain, 1 wasn’t useable). The biggest disappointment was that the room hadn’t been cleaned properly - dust all over the floor, in the wardrobe and items of clothing left by previous guests. We had also requested a quiet room but sadly had a group of guests next door who were incredibly noisy partying until 3&#47;4am. Upon arrival a deposit of €500 was taken from my account, I’m really concerned as this money has still not been returned to me - the room was a state when we arrived so not sure why this amount was needed!

Nice resort but the accommodation could have been better and the staff a bit more helpful”

The chalet layout was nice and the beds were comfortable. We also liked the location with the shop across the road and a few little pubs and restaurants.
The accommodation was fine but a bit tired and in need of a revamp. We wont&#39; stay there again next year! Some of the furniture in the chalet was broken and our heated lockers for our ski gear did not work until the last day so we had wet ski boots every morning! The staff were not too bothered or helpful to be honest. We hired ski gear in the shop in the Chalets de Rosael and the staff in the rental shop were very helpful and friendly. When our return transfer from Val Thorens to Geneva Airport cancelled at the last minute (causing us to miss our flights x 8), the staff in Rosael were on lunch so no help whatsoever but the staff in the ski hire shop were very helpful trying to find us an alternative.
