The better of the Ibis hotels”
Location wise, it was great, however, Lyon itself was undergoing some serious construction and renovation. Therefore, tram lines and roads were all closed around the hotel. Due to this, to get to Place Bellecour it is a little inconvenient as the train stations are a bit of a walk away. But this doesn't stop you from having a good time. The rooms were VERY spacious. Great value for money, great space, very clean. The room we were given smelt of smoke and clearly had the previous occupants being inconsiderate. Upon informing staff, they were the most polite and helpful people in finding us a new room. What a delight! Breakfast was awesome, with the traditional french style of cheeses, cold meats and croissants. But they also had eggs, and sausages! Loved the space and our stay here. Definitely would do again, and for longer. Lyon itself deserves a good 4-5 days of exploring

One of the (if not) the cheapest and nearest to Lyon part dieu train station. Room was miserably small and cramp.

Overpriced hotel whose only redeeming quality is the friendly staff”
I had to check back on the price I paid in order to do this review. I thought I was going to say "nothing special, but then it's cheap" but when I checked the price, I realised that it wasn't at all cheap!!! Reminded me of a Holiday Inn Express... barely clean, falling apart, smelly. Capitalism at its worst - squeezing maximum profit out of a good location. How sad.

An Ibis - Thats It”
Basic Room & Bathroom. Comfortable Bed. Not so great a location. Checkout the other Ibis Hotels near the station. They are better located and cost the same.

staff was super friendly”
I walked into my room and it smelled like sewer. I turned the AC and went out for 3 hours when I return the AC was barely cold and the room stilled smelled like sewer. I requested another room, staff was super friendly, The new room had better AC but the bathroom had seen better days. The toilet had tracks of hard water, which they can easily clean with special cleanser, I think it was also due to a continuous leak. There was redish mold on bottom of shower door so bathroom was not very well cleaned. I have stay at Ibis hotels before and this location does not meet their standard. Also it did help that there were homeless people sleeping right outside the entrance

Too small”
I understand it is a value hotel but the room and the bathroom were too small. There was no room for the bags and my adult son had to get out of the bathroom to dry out after showering.

it has good location. just 10 min walk from the lyon part dieu station. the room was clean but if you expect some hotel facilities in the room, then you will be disappointed.

Great location”
Great location close to Part Dieu station, with good transport connections (metro, tram, bus) and a shopping mall. Room is comfortable and quiet. Free wifi is fast. Didn't try the breakfast as it was pretty expensive (not included in the rate).

A little worse than mediocre”
Didn't like my stay. Hotel is old much worse than average IBIS. Room door wasn't opening fully, was blocked by the bed. Breakfast was good.

The room was so small”
The room was tiny, there was building work going on, a bottle of water was 4.5E. I was attending a pool exhibition and all of the people said they had better hotels for less money. Will I be back to Lyon yes, will I stay at this hotel, defiantly not

Rooms are perfect if you were just to spend the night. No water heater, wastebasket only in the bathroom not the room, and no tissues.

Comfortable stay”
It was ideally located, clean and comfortable. Only problem was the dinning room times - closed at 2pm when we got there at 1.55 they told us we were too late. Also restuarant was closed too early in the evenings.

Convenient for shopping, but room was too hot”
Room was small but the bed was comfortable. The main problem is that there was no air conditioning in the room and it was really too hot to sleep.
