Pools and environment are quite ok. good view.

Staff do not speak English even though the hotel is supposed to be foreign. Wrong room provided to us when we checked in. On 2nd day, the cleaner entered the room even if it said DO NOT DISTURB, cleaned the room (not clean enough) and lost my contact lens case.. our room had a broken light and shower head was not working. not too much choice of food in the hotel.

The kids enjoyed playing on teh beach and in the ocean.

Hard to get to location. The hotel disconnected all the phones in the rooms and even the public areas so you had to go to the front desk with any requests. Breakfast was a disaster, there was never enough food at the buffet. We saw a fight break out between adults over food and we saw a pushing fight between children. The food at the dinner buffet(outdoor BBQ) was sparse and not as advertised. The beach was nice but you can tell there is a major pollution problem because we did not see a single bird on the beach in 2 days. It was overcrowded and the hotel was not prepared to deal with so many guests and it showed.

Check in was quick. The hotel upgraded our room and gave my son a fluffy toy because it was his birthday. A birthday cake was delivered to our room the next day which was a huge surprise. The Hotel manager, Rajan is very hospitable.He gave us two cans of cookies on our way out and ensured we were comfortable. We enjoyed the water slides, the pool near the slides and the infinity pool. The beach floor is clean and has water sports.

The firecrackers on the beach start around 8:00 pm up until midnight which is a long time and can disturb your sleep. I suggest a period of 30 minutes is enough for the fire cracking display. It is beautiful and I reckon it will be more enjoyable if it doesn't last that long. Room cleanliness can be improved.

Nothing can remember

the biggest weekend trip disappointment you can imagine. never choose this hotel if you are traveling with your family and plan to have a good rest: 1) the fireworks start at sunset and do not stop for a minute until 12 at night. So you feel like you are at war; 2) dirty rooms requiring renovation; 3) Lack of room service - it is impossible to get through to the reception; 4) terrible breakfast - from western food only some cookies and coffee, also you have to wait for a seat at the table or sit with other hotel guests; 5) add to this the lack of infrastructure around the hotel, dust and dirt around the hotel; 6) the most important thing - an old, dangerous water park on the territory of the hotel - my son hurt a leg on one slide; The worst hotel for this money!!! I will never again choose this hotel chain and would not recommend it to anyone.

The balcony jacuzzi was nice. The beach is clean the pools are clean.

Nothing was open. The restaurants were closed. The bar only served warm can beer. You could not order a cocktail. The staff does not speak English. The roof top bar was closed. Room service took over 1.5 hours for a sandwich. If you don’t enjoy Chinese food, you will starve at this hotel. There is nothing around.

Laying in the hot tub on the balcony as you look at the sunset over the beach is one of life's ultimate pleasures. Breakfast is very good, but get there early. The hot springs are fabulous, but only open in the cooler months.

I wish the hot springs were open in May.

Awesome karaoke room.

Staff: Showed them my Booking.com booking and the desk guy dismissively said it wasn't in the system. Then they asked my girlfriend her ethnicity (???) Staff doesn't speak any English. Staff didn't have any USB adapters for charging your phone on hand (first time I've experienced that at a resort). Room maintenance: Room floor looked unwashed (not dirty but like not sparkling clean wood). There was a hole in the door frame where there used to be a deadbolt. The balcony door VERY difficult to open/close, and when it is open the air conditioner turns off (saves energy sure, but I kinda want both on at the same time). Facilities: The Sky Bar closes at 8pm (???), super early for a bar to close...Restaurant has very slow service. Breakfast was in a conference room with shared tables. Only one coffee maker = lineups for days. The outdoor pools were drained (maybe because it's off-season, but it was still 25 degrees out and the hotel was packed with guests). The PRICES are astronomical, like Ritz prices for less than Holiday Inn quality (for drinks/food). Beach: Beach was smaller than the neighbouring resorts - there were no water sports offered (might have been because it's off-season, but the resorts next door still offer water sports/boating), beach was also a little dirty fromgarbage/firework shrapnel.

Great place to relax, great pools. Afternoon tea on the 30/f and swim on roof top pool excellent.

The view from the room was very nice. The pool area and grounds were interesting and great for young kids, however a little of maintenance is needed.

The condition of the room was average. It looked nice and there was plenty of space, however there were many maintenance issues with it. Door to Bathroom broken, safe not working, issues with the front door. Coffee machine not working. No plates, cooking utensils or anything even though we had a kitchen ???. The beach was not as clean as I thought it would have been, and it was closed for swimming.

I was on a short 3-day father and son trip. Though I didn't receive 5-star service, the amount of play areas for my 4.5-year-old son was great. He had chosen the property from the pictures on Booking.com and there were even more play areas than advertised. I complained quite a bit. When I did they were very sweet about helping me.

1. The service desk phone, each time I called and I was forced to call many times, would ring 30 or more times before anyone would answer. 2. The direct access to service desk button had been turned off in my room. It was only turned on when I requested. Fishy. 3. My room wasn't made-up on either day until I called. On the second night I called at 7:00pm at night to request. 4. We visited during the Golden Week and they blamed the service failure on occupancy levels but honestly the breakdowns were not in general linked to this in my opinion. For example on our first morning we were directed away from the main Western breakfast buffet to a ballroom as the "food is the same" but they were not cleaning any of the tables as people finished and the dishes and cutlery were not being cleaned. No cutlery or chopsticks at all were available and we had to eat all our food with our hands. It wasn't the crowd either as most had finished when we arrived for food. Staffing levels and organization was just not sufficient and they should have been. 5. In the wading pool outside I never saw a lifeguard in the lifeguard chair on any of the numerous times we visited. The pool was not so busy that they could have been drawn away. I did see staff working on maintenance and upkeep tasks. It was like the staff saw the facility as being more important than the safety of the people. I saw a young child being held by his father and throwing up the water he had swallowed along with everything he had eaten right in front of the empty lifeguard chair. No one came to help or even clean as the food spread out across the water. 6. There was a complete lack of oversight and safety in the inside play areas, big kids jostling little kids with completely silent staff focusing on the kids having socks on and collecting 8 RMB when they don't to pay for a pair. *Howard Johnson, The training lead was very sweet.
