We stayed for the 2nd time at garden hotel for canton fair. Usually local hotel is crappy in service even though they put 5 star hotels. But, Garden 5 star hotels equal to Sofitel Hotel. GREAT. The room are spacious, the lighting is great and water pressure is fantastic too. Also, the cleanliness are great. we try some restaurants in the hotel such as the 30th floor and Japanese restaurant on 2nd floors. The Japanese restaurant are great and must try when you are staying here. reasonable prices and great portion and most important: great taste. During canton fair, they provide hotel-fair shuttle and they were really nice too in providing sandwich and water before boarding the bus... nice attention to customers.. also, when we are boarding back from the fair, we are given water too... nice touch. Also, do not forget to utilize the canton fair promotion of buying RMB1000 credit for just RMB500. Great value..

One of the best places i have stayed in Guangzhou. Walking distance to Beijing Road. The breakfast buffet had a good selection. I liked the Japanese Restaurant on the 2nd floor. The room was comfortable and cozy. Bed was firm and the pillows were really soft and nice. Except for the hot water in the bathtub not working, my stay would have been perfect. I purposely chose a hotel with a bathtub to soak in it after a long days work. Sadly my rooms bathtub hot water didnt work.

Stayed here for total 6 night ~ overall was very satisfied with the price i pay for . 1st 2 night we booked for budget boutique room which was very small , then when we return from hongkong , we booked for Deluxe room which just few dollar difference but alot bigger and comfort . The best of this hotel is they provide inroom Desktop PC , daily housekeeping to keep the room clean and fresh , in china hardly to get new clean room at this price,important is the toilet is clean too . more else is very convenience ,7-11 just few step away ,there is few shopping centre accross the road , MTR just 5-8minutes walk , many attraction is nearby the only downside is next to temple and theres a school behind this hotel .but not big deal and we leave our room early .

I was in China for the Canton Fair. For Indian travelers of Canton Fair, this hotel is extremely convenient. Registration for the fair and shuttle services to the fair are all available from hotel itself. Location of the hotel is very good, with proximity to banks, shopping malls and convenience stores. The best Indian restaurant of Guangzhou, Tandoor, is in the hotel. So Indian travelers will not feel home sick. The rooms are good and staff is super helpful and try very hard. All hotels in Guangzhou do not give any daily consumables anymore due to recent government orders. So please carry your own toiletries.

for the price, i did not expect such aa lovely hotel. the room is small enough to be cosy, yet large enough to be quite spacious. especially love the quaint old-style tea table and stools in my room; perfect way to enjoy a cup of complimentary chinese tea after a long day, while gazing out the window at the city lights. with helpful staff and it's good location, this is a hotel i will return to again and again. 20 minutes walk to beijing road shopping area, large malls and smaller local shops all around the hotel; one eed never go far to buy anything. on premise are good quality restaurants, cantonese, taiwanese and japanese, and within 2-5 minutes walk are local restaurant at local prices. great for selection. if they get lcd/plasma tvs, pad some rooms with softer mattresses for foreigners, and put in an on-premise salon and foot reflex joint, this hotel will rate 5 stars in my book. as is, i will give it 4 stars. oh, one minor complain is a lack of parking. combine with the price, this hotel is hands down my favourite in guangzhou.

Ocean Hotel was a great hotel. Even though the rooms were smaller, they were clean and nice. The staff was cooperative and nice. There are plenty of good restaurant nearby including Indian Restaurants. The metro is also nearby. The shopping malls are in the close vicinity. One can also take bus to Biyun from Garden Hotel. My stay was good and I will come back soon. A next door shop is very convenient to buy some urgent need stuff.

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel, it's very close to the metro station and the helpful hotel staff. But I experienced the worst ever waiting time for the elevator. No exaggeration, most of the time I waited between 10 to 20 minutes for the elevator it is designed to always stop (whether going up or down) on the third floor where the restaurant is situated. If you are in a hurry to go out, make sure you allow waiting time for the elevator. My expectation was to see a mini fridge and bathrobes in my room but to my disappointment 'no fridge and no bathrobes'.

I really enjoyed my stay at Crowne Plaze Guangzhou City Centre Hotel. It is a great hotel - the lobby is beautiful and smells great. I got into Guangzhou Int'l Airport past 12 midnight and had no problem getting a taxi to the hotel, which is in downtown next to the famous Guangzhou International Building. I loved my room - it was huge - and I got a free upgrade because my original room was booked. My bed was so comfortable - great for someone with jetlag. The service was excellent at the hotel, and they gave me two complimentary 100 Yuan discount tickets to the foot massage place (independently owned) on the 5th floor. The hotel is very convenient - there's a McDonald's, a family mart, restaurants, etc. nearby. My closet was huge, my view was very good, and everyone was so nice. All of the employees speak English perfectly. Check in and check-out are very easy. The room amenities are high quality, including lotion, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush kit, comb, shaving kit, natural soaps, bath salts, blowdryer, ironing board and iron with steam, etc. Loved it.

This is a great hotel considering the location and the money that you pay for the room. The service is great. Staff is prompt and most of them can communicate in english. The hotel is located at the end of huan shi dong road which is a happening location with lots of restaurants hotel and night clubs. This is a good hotel to stay in and will come back again to stay here.

I had a very pleasant and relaxed stay at this hotel. Breakfast was very good too. All of their staffs were friendly and especially Sandy, the manager, was a very talented and helpful for her guests. She kept checking with me if all was okay with my stays and tried to provide the best service as much as possible. The facilities and amenities are pretty satisfactory. They have a small van that offers a free travel between the hotel and the Canton fair. However, keep in mind that the seat is limited (up to 6 ppl or so) so it can be fully booked quickly. You better check the availability with the hotel in advance. The only downside of this hotel for me was the location. It has a beautiful view of the Pearl River but is located on the busy street. They have a night club across the street so it can be a bit noisy at night - even thought it didn't really bother me when I was sleeping. If you like nightlife, this may be good for you. Overall, this hotel was a very nice to stay. I loved this small boutique hotel and will probably stay again in my next trip!

This hotel is definetly value for money as it is probably the cheapest 4 star hotel in the district. Breakfast is cheap at 60rmb and the scenary is very relaxing and peaceful. Rooms are comfortable however,the only downfall is that the TV needs to be plasma and more english channels required. The hotel has many social facilities that one may indulge in and enjoy. Have stayed there previously and will stay there again in the future.

Furthermore, shopping is convenient with the Beijing Road Shopping Arcade merely ten minutes away. Bailing Hotel provides a comfortable atmosphere catering to both the business and leisure traveler. As for hotel dining, the Jin-sha-wan Chinese Restaurant is where guests can indulge in authentic Cantonese and Sichuan cuisine while enjoying the magnificent view of the Pearl River.

I got a room for $28 or so on Agoda. Was beyond any expectations. Was very clean, comfortable. Very nice to have free bottles of water to drink. Shower was fine. Had the best dumplings of my life at the Dim Sum/Tea restaurant on the 5th floor. Also a massage place on the 6th floor (I forget if that's the 6th but you can ask). And, a Starbucks on the 1st floor! What more to ask for. The Hotel staff kindly let me leave my luggage at the Hotel for a night for free when I went out of town. Overall, recommend!

If you are looking a excellent hotel strategically located near metro, attractions, public transportation, shopping centers, street food and restaurants. There is also 24 hour convenience marts and street food around the corner. This hotel is a great place to rest and refresh after a day tour around the city and embark on a new adventure the next day. If you are a stay in the hotel all day guest to enjoy the pool, gym or hotel spa you won't find it in this hotel. There is also no hotel parking. There is a paid parking bay a few buildings down the block.

We have been here numerous stays over a span of 4 years. The hotel has us coming back with good hospitality and a well maintained hotel. The wear and tear is almost non visible! The breakfast spread is simple but still very good though I would say it has improved this year with a healthier spread and a neater more welcoming eating space. The train station is just opposite the main road with access to Line 5 and 6. They leave extra bottles of drinking water outside the hallway. Nothing huge but nothing I have not seen in other hotels either. Kudos to the hotel. Staff is also very helpful in helping with suggetions or directions. My last stay a big plus for giving us a free room upgrade and complimentary breakfast. Thanks Paco Hotel. Much appreciated and we look forward to more stays with you.

Halal restaurant at 2nd floor (Turkish Restaurant) Chinese halal muslim restaurant just 5 minutes walk in front of the hotel buildings 4 minutes walk to Xiaobei metro station (underground light transit train) -most important thing to consider- 5 minutes train (1 stop) to Mosque 5 minutes walk to Halal groceries. Qibla sign in room. Great hospitalities, helpful receptionist and manager. clean, comfort, and peaceful room. toilet with pipe hose (giler enko nak selet2 lepas membuang)..muslims really love this! i’ll stay again for sure! best ever hotel for muslim!

my stays at the king garden go back four years. management used a lot of trainees at the front desk, but they now have professional supervision and enough english to get by for english speakers. the b building has the more attractive rooms and public space the a building is the best value in town. with an agoida discount the b building is value for money. buffet breakfast is copious, gym is a bonus. the hotel restaurant is among the better cantonese cuisines in town. maintenance remains a weak point. safes usually need battery replacement. hand shower work but overhead shower is nonfunctional in many rooms. after four years you'd think someone would fix them. house staff are helpful though without english. setting, value, amenities are all plusses.
