Hotels near Place des Vosges

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Grand Hotel Du Loiret, and would stay again. Rick Steves endorsed, we learned of the hotel in one of his guidebooks. It's clean, and rooms are refreshed daily by dedicated cleaning staff. Beds are comfortable and feel newer. With close proximity to a major thoroughfare, the Rue de Rivoli, and a few late night bars, it can be noisy, especially during the weekend. My advice: bring earplugs, or ask for a room on the upper floor, where (I've read) the noise is mitigated a bit. I did request a room on the top floor when I made my booking, but never received a confirmation. It could be those rooms were already booked. More corpulent individuals may find the showers a bit claustrophobic. The central location affords easy access to many of the city's major attractions, the Seine, and metro stations. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, especially when we asked to leave our bags for early arrival; they have a secure system for storage. Rooms also have a small safe, which is very convenient. We're not big fans of air conditioning, even when the temperatures reach 100F/38C, which happened during our stay, preferring to open the windows for a breeze instead. It's great to be able to do this, as in many larger hotels with ac, this isn't possible. There is wifi, but you'll need to log in every time you need to use the internet.

The beds in this hotel were so soft and comfy that my parents and I had the best sleep of the whole trip. Even better than 4 star hotels! Given, the elevator was old and the room was small which is commonplace in paris, but its proximity to Bastille market, location wise a straight walk down to the main shopping district makes this hotel the best place for us to stay in Paris at its price. We loved the way the top floor bed had a skylight which captured its old parisian feel. Awesome for travellers on budget and dont mind a little old equipment

Very decent hotel with basic facilities and furnishings, just right for sleeping after a day's stroll around Paris. Rooms are quite small for us with two very small kids. But it was clean and comfortable enough for us. Considering Paris as a rather expensive destination, this is already a good find, very close to Louvre, Notre Dame and just about 3 minutes walk to Metro Line 1 <Hotel de Ville>. Negative: on our first day, the cleaning lady left a used towel on the bathroom floor (but room was clean, to be fair). Elevator and hallway are very narrow for two people together. No place to sit in the reception area, which was also too small.

If you want a giant room with all the comforts of home, this is not your place. However, if you are looking for a true Parisian experience (and have some money to spend) then Hotel Bourg Tibourg is for you. It is small (less than 20 rooms, I think) and very cozy. It is spectacularly clean and sits 'off the beaten path' in a more residential than touristy area. That being said there are no shortage of small shops, boutiques, cafes and pubs very nearby. The neighborhood is trendy and has a lot of unique fashion and art. The hotel is also located only 3 blocks from the Metro that runs to the Louvre, Champs Elysee and L'arc de Triomphe. Getting to Montmartre or the Eiffel Tower requires a transfer to another Metro line but is very easy. Another bonus: Notre Dame is a 15 minute walk (yes, WALK) from the hotel. Unfortunately the entire area is closed to all but locals due to the damage sustained in the fire but you can still walk the outskirts of the grounds and get some nice views.

This is my third time staying at The Caron Hotel in Le Marais and the location is excellent a few minutes from Place des Voges with lots of cafes, shops and bars. It also is located between Saint Paul and The Bastille metros which are both only a few minutes walk. The staff are excellent and so helpful with anything you need or questions. Rooms are not huge but very comfortable and have everting you need includes free movies, mini bar and l’Occitane products.

Lovely staff, great location. Looks like Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen went mad on the interior which is a lot of fun. Did get a sense that the hotel was really banking on the decor to carry it's 4 stars in some ways as the rooms were actually quite small and there were no special facilities however the friendly, helpful service and great atmostphere also looked like they were making a big effort to earn their stripes. Would definately recommend for a city break as is also a lovely part of Paris and staff want you to discover as much as you can about the city. I would go back.

We stayed at Hotel de Lutece for a weekend break in Paris and it was perfect for this purpose. Centrally located on Ile St Louis, many of the big sights are within walking distance e.g. Notre Dame barely 5 minutes away. However it was also very quiet and on a lovely street packed with charming artisan shops and nice restaurants. We recommend the cheese shop opposite, the chocolate shop next door and any of the cafes selling berthillon ice cream. You are also a few minutes walk from the metro system if you want to visit any of the sights further afield. The staff were polite and attentive. The hotel itself is warm and cosy, the rooms slightly small - but this is Paris remember - and the shower was powerful and hot. Overall, a slightly expensive stay (but nothing out of the price range for similar hotels in the capital) but well worth it for a comfortable stay in a well located hotel in charming environs.

I stayed in the hotel overnight as it was close to a meeting I had. The room was very large for Europe and was tastefully decorated in a modern style. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and well appointed. I liked the feature of being able to control all the room features such as lights and blinds from the iPad. i was on the top floor and the view was nice and the channel and the Sein to the right. It was quiet and close to the Qaui de le Rappe metro station a short walk across the street. The area lacks cafes and restaurants however with the fully equipped kitchen and great restaurants a short uber or metro stop away it's not too bad. The room was very hot as there are floor to ceiling windows and it was 35 degrees in Paris. If arriving during the summer perhaps make a request that the automatic blinds and the shades in the room be drawn closed to assist with room temperature as the air condition was never able to catch up and cool the room resulting in 24 degrees in the room. The staff was very attentive with offering another room and checking the switch board to ensure the AC was working however. There is breakfast available for 20 euros per person as well as room service. The wi-fi worked very well. There is an excellent expresso machine in the room with fresh bean ground expresso, however no cream or sugar available- although they likely would have brought some to the room had I asked. Although $300 CAN per night is a bit steep, the size and comfort of the room is perhaps worth it if that is what you are looking for. Location. Or the best for cafes and restaurants but plenty within a 20 min walk toward Notre Dame. I would stay again.

We chose the hotel for it's location and price. Location was perfect close to Place de Vosges in Marais and price was good. The hotel itself is very basi with toilets and shower in the hall and not on every floor, so you have to walk one ofr more floors up for the shower. The rooms are ok but very basic. They are clean. The corridors look very shabby, I have the idea they are rennovation. I hope because it looks like they neglected it for many years. Donnot go here when you desire a top hotel with luxury rooms but if your budget is tight and you like to stay in a top location and you are willing to give up luxury it is a good choice.

From the smiling and sincerely welcoming Reception staff the moment we walked through the door, to the help with even the littlest issue, this hotel and its team marked themselves out as extraordinary. The location is PERFECT - walkable to so many of Paris's most wonderful places & to urban transport for everywhere else. The little neighbourhood is a delight of boutiques, interesting retail concepts and and sitting in a cafe on a Sunday afternoon we just could not have had more fun seeing it all go by.

This hotel is a three star on the isle de St. Louis, just down river from Norte Dame. Quiet street with almost no traffic. Nice restaurants available. Good shops nearby. Can walk to many parts of Paris quite easily and yet the hotel is out of the hubbub of the city. Four minute walk to Norte Dame. There is a Metro stop just off of the island just a four minute walk away. Staff is very helpful for anything you need. Rooms are well appointed. Rooms are not big, but perfectly adequate. We had a two story room that had a twin and bathroom on first floor and bedroom, sitting area on 2nd floor. Might be difficult for older folks, but quite workable for us. The breakfast was not included and one might consider eating elsewhere rather than pay 18 euros, but the breakfast there was fine. The lobby and bar are pleasant enough, but the lobby is secured from wandering tourists, which I think is a great idea. Keeps the hotel secure and quiet. It is not the Ritz, but it is a very nice place to stay.
