I can't say enough good things about Hotel Gavarni, truly. This was my second time in Paris and when I travel I almost always stay in a hostel because I'm barely in the room and have a tight budget - but this time I decided to stay in a hotel since I was travelling with a friend. I wanted something close to the Eiffel Tower since that's our main attraction and we'll likely return there everyday anyway. I wasn't sure how close Hotel Gavarni would be to the tower but let me tell you, it is RIGHT THERE. It's about one block away form the Trocadero, you walk up a small hill and then through a tiny round about and then the street is on the right. It's also like 2 minutes away from Passy station on the 6 ligne, which is very convenient. The room was BEAUTIFUL, they actually ungraded us for no reason which was amazing. We could see the tower from our room! We had a breakfast nook, a balcony with big windows that open, and everything you could want in a cute parisian hotel. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They all speak English and French. BOOK THIS NOW!

The overall value was good for location and decent sized room for Europe. Great staff and location is perfect for those who like to walk to stuff or find little cafes etc. overall setup is decent and comfortable bed but separate sheets from duvet cover would have been nicer. The little things hurt it though,A big dirty stain on carpet greeted you near bed. No towel bars or hooks in bathroom leave you confused as to what to do with wet towels. A Loose shower nozzle made shower tricky and maneuvering in tight shower is a feat for the tall. Same could be said for toilet tucked into corner. None of these are deal breakers but hotels that get all The little things right are the ones you remember. The big down fall of hotel was noise, not from street but from hotel itself. The location of doors in hallways have them all very close together. With heavy loud doors that slam shut it was all we heard all night, stirring us from our sleep repeatly. Updating to soft close doors would help

this hotel was in a great location. it is surrounded by a lot of local restaurants, markets, and some historical landmarks such as the arc and the eiffel tower. it is also incredibly close to the champ elysees where there are a lot of delicious restaurants and tons of stores for great shopping. it is in a safe area. one of the things that i liked best is that if you felt like a tourist and wanted to do all the tourist things, then they were all walking distance from the hotel. however, if you wanted a glimpse of the local life, because of the location of this hotel, you were able to see it first hand as well. the staff was also great and very accommodating.

it locates in the most centralized location in paris and it has the best view right in front of effile tower. the normal room is ok, does not really have the view. i upgreated to the suites, and once i step into the room i was so impressed with the view! everything become worthwhile. the service is good, french restrant the food is really great! now just waiting for the chi spa to be open..and can't wait to be back again!

The selling point of this hotel is it's best location, the hotel is just a 3 mins walk from Trocadero station (Also the best location to see the Eiffel Tower), very easy to get to. From Trocadero, you can go to most tourist sites easily, just ride the railway and you can go anywhere, even if u don't know French and u're the first time here. (I suggest you to google map the hotel so you learn where it is before you go.) The hotel is very clean, the bathrooms have Jacuzzi bathtub (But I do not have the time to try it) and the room is well designed and the bed is very comfortable, I slept very well. The people is friendly (especially the lady who helped me to call taxi and help me talk to the driver in French). The only thing you might complain is the rooms are small. But this doesn't really matter to me, as a tourist I go out the whole day and only stay at the hotel for sleep at night. The easy transportation and cleanness of the hotel makes everything worth. There are restaurants near the hotel too, you can get your breakfast easily. :) The hotel also has wifi, each device need to get one wifi account and password from the reception.

We had a nice stay at the 16. Arr. It‘s a good starting point to discover the parisienne west. But you‘re also at the eiffel tower with a 20min walk alongside the seine. If you‘re into bars & strong nightlife right at the door you might want to stay somewhere else. The rooms were cozy & tidy. Not as small as you might expect from a paris hotel. And very clean. It had all the amenities that we liked to see. Staff was very friendly & most of all helpful. We can fully recommend this hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would use this hotel again for sure. Michel was the first person we met and he made such a wonderful impression on us, and did the same for everyone else. Nothing was too much effort for him. He gave us more than 5 star treatment. There was a Carrefour a few doors away which was open till very late at night and offered everything you would need from cold meats to cheeses and foie gras. All kinds of drinks including wine and beer. We could walk to the Eiffel Tower and other sites or take the Metro which was less than 10 minutes away. The room was kept clean daily and was everything we needed. It had a bar fridge where we could store drinks etc. We felt very safe and at ease to walk about the area late at night and there were several great restaurants nearby to eat at. We loved Paris so much, and would definitely go back and see more. We wish our stay was longer than 5 days. Thank you for an amazing stay at your wonderful hotel.

We loved the Victor Hugo. Space and the best location down a quiet street, and only minutes to all the sights and Victor Hugo Metro stop. Clean, big bed, great bathroom, cool old building - it was a really enjoyable stay for 5 nights and I would recommend it to anyone. Great brasserie for breakfast around one corner and a great bar for food and drinks just down the street. World class patisserie in the square. 5 min walk to the Arc de triomphe and eiffle tower. Would love to stay there again.

In Paris, it seems people like to say Paris is Paris, which means like new Yorker say "city" like Manhattan without other boroughs. First of all, the staff in Villa Maillot, they are brilliant friendly. Location to everywhere is so close such as The Peninsula hotel, Arc de Triomphe, Avenue des Champs-Élysées and so on. Most of days, I need to go villepinte parc des expositions, this location is also nearby to get highway if you take a cab. As I known, the metro station is nearby as well. In addition, the location of staying is pretty safe, in front store is Carrefour. Garden view room is pretty well choice for two people. Heater in the bathroom, I tool a bath everyday, also inside wall TV in the restroom. They offer 60" TV in the room, however, only one thing. However, i was staying on 1st floor, I am not sure that 2F, they are Giants or not, I can sometime heard their sounds with foot step.

My daughter and I stayed at the Saint James Hotel for 6 nights. It is located in the 16th ar which is a quiet charming neighborhood within walking distance to small cafes and museums. It is very close to the Porte Dauphine metro station. We loved the library/bar. It was one of the reasons we choose the hotel. The bedrooms were spacious as was the bathroom. There was enough closet and drawer space for 2 women. It was super clean. Visually it was stunning.

We received around 400 can in credits towards our next booking with agoda. The credit is completely useless. We leave in Toronto, and the credit can't be used for any good hotels in Toronto. Agoda credits is complete scam designed to drive sales but providing zero benefit to clients as can't be used for booking of any good hotels in central locations but cheap stuff in the suburbs.

The hotel Pastel really was a very pleasant hotel. The rooms were on the small side but nice and bright and very clean. There was the usually tea and coffee in the room, which if you ran out of you could help yourself to more in reception, and a TV with a few English channels inc BBC world news. My wife and i stayed in room 36 for 4 days and found that there was enough storage space, and lots of wall sockets and the room was cleaned every day with fresh towels. There is a lift that covers all floors inc the basement were you can have breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful and at 15 Euro’s breakfast was good value when you consider that you can pay at least 8 Euro’s for just coffee in most places in Paris. The hotel is located in a quiet area of Paris but within a 15 minute walk to The Arc de Triomphe and 20 minute to the Eiffel Tower, and a 3 minute walk to a Metro stop. if you turn right as you walk out of the hotel and go 400 metres there is a small convenience shop for those

This hotel was very good value in the best locality so that you can walk to majority of tourist attractions! We walked to the Palais de Chaillot, Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Seine River and others easily. Very close to all public transport too. Room was beautiful and clean with a french balcony. The staff were simply the best and most helpful we have found on our UK and European holiday. Close to supermarkets and very good restaurants and bars. And also walk the local and beautiful Trocadero neighbourhood. Highly recommended. We would stay here again.

Ok we arrived quite late and were given a card for a room which when we tried to open, found a couple inside sleeping. The man at reception was friendly but not very apologetic, and then fumbled around for the next half hour trying to give us another room. Al the rooms he showed us were quite unpleasant, with stale smells and very small, unlike the photo of the superior room we booked. We were tired from travelling all day so we just decided on the best room for the night. The next morning we complained about the issues and although they were quite resistant, they eventually gave us a nicer room. They also offered to include breakfast for the rest of our stay and champagne for us give it was our honeymoon. So they made amends for the issues, but it was nonetheless concerning that the rooms varied so much, even though all classified as 'superior'. Our advice is to request a renovated room, otherwise you may end up with something less than what you expected. Otherwise the hotel is clean and comfortable, and quite tastefully decorated. Easy access to metro. Also wifi was a bit annoying, had to login every time we wanted to use it, even after 15 minutes of inactivity

We came to visit family who live in the 16th Arondissement, which is mostly residential. The hotel was the perfect location for us--great shopping and restaurants, metro stop nearby, and easy walking distance to the Eiffel Tower and the Seine. The staff was polite and helpful, the room small but well-equipped, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom really clean with a great shower. And there's air conditioning! Our room was facing the back of the building and was completely quiet--no street noise at all. We did not have a breakfast-included package and found the continental breakfast a bit over-priced, but it was easy to get a great breakfast more cheaply at any number of cafes just steps from the hotel. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a clean, comfortable and reasonably-priced base from which to visit Paris.

The best choice we could make for an hotel in Paris. The small and friendly hotel is located just around 500m from Eiffel tower close to both metro and RER stations, great bakeries around to start the day at, the room is small but very comfy and warm and the bathroom is shinny new. The best of all is the staff and the owner who welcomed us - they all were very helpful and friendly to us! They helped with everything from good suggestions for restaurants and attractions, to maps, taxis and many more good advice! By the way, the Cafe A La Fontaine, just outside the hotel, is one of the best cafe's around for a quick coffee or a good evening dinning with the locals!

Stayed two nights after staying in a more reasonable hotel first, the Majestic was fab, got there ready for 2pm check in and left at 12pm check out! My 12 year old daughter loved it, there was a games room opposite our room with Wii, laptop, and other games, very handy with a little kitchen area so if you have younger children very practical. Pool area lovely and relaxing, just what you need when amongst the furore of a busy city. Rooms were gorgeous, worth paying for the grand deluxe, loads of space, bathroom smart with a separate shower cubicle, decor was to a very high standard as was the furniture and bedding. Ate in the restaurant once which was ok, quite slow and not that out of the ordinary, but I suppose there really isn't a great need to eat there with so many other options. Located close to the Kleber metro or Charles de Gaulle etoile, a few mins walk, good location and close to the Arc de Triomphe. An absolutely lovely stay, unforgettable!

The best part about Hotel Bassano is their beautiful rooms. We had a family room with a tub and it was great. L'Occitane soaps, new towels. Location is also very good as it is walking distance (12 mins) to the Arc d'Triomphe and 15 mins to the Trocadero and 20 mins to the Eiffel tower. Breakfast was also good. Excellent friendly staff. Now the parts I wish could have been better are: - parking is a block away at an underground structure that requires someone from the hotel to go with you to open the door. That's super inconvenient not to mention one block becomes several blocks due to the one way streets. And parking was €29/night! - same breakfast every single day. We stayed 3 nights and wished for something new. - breakfast area is small so after 8am, becomes full fast and you need to wait.

Location is pretty good, very good price compared to other hotels that are just 1km away. The worst part of the hotel other than the small rooms is the fact that the rooms are so close to each other and you can hear someone sneeze next door. So hope for considerate neighbors, or if you are a heavy sleeper, then it shouldn't be a problem. Also, they charge you for breakfast but they don't tell you until you check out!! 12 Euros per breakfast! But then again, it's Paris...!

Amazing. We went to Paris to celebrate my 30th birthday and I couldn't have asked for a better hotel. The room was gorgeous with a beautiful terrace that looked out over the street. The neighbourhood was classy and had plenty of great food options. It was about a 10,15 minute stroll to the Eiffel Tower, then another 15 minute walk to Champs Elysées, which took about 30 minutes to stroll down to the Arc de Triomphe, then another 15 minute stroll back to the hotel. Highly recommend this place, absolutely loved it! The staff were super friendly too!

The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood that is a short walking distance to the Trocadero and the Eiffel Tower, as well as to the Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Elysees. The closest metro station is Boissiére, so all of Paris is also quite easily accessible from there. Be reminded though that if you have big heavy luggages, you might want to skip the metro going to the hotel as there is no lift. The hotel itself has a small lift, and the corridors are also tight. We had a double room, which was also quite small, though I think it is the usual size for such a room type in Paris. The bed was comfortable, and never had any problems with the toilet or the shower, so that’s good.

The 16th is a quiet area, off the tourist trail (though less than 5 mins walk to Trocadero,10 mins walk to Eiffel tower, 15 to les Invalides and Musee Rodin, and 30 to champs Elysee). I stay here as it is very convenient for my work trips in 16th. If you want a cheap base just to sleep, well served by cafe's and shops for the daytime, it's fine, but if you want to hang out at a hotel with facilities this isn't it, and the rooms are small.

It's a small hotel right off trocadero. We had a room with a small balcony with some view of the Eiffel Tower. About 5 min walk to the nearest train station and about 10-15 min walk to the Eiffel Tower. There's a lot of nice restaurant within walking distance a bit on the expensive side though. What impresses me the most is the cleanliness of the bathroom. It's spotless in immaculate white.

This hotel is in centre of paris walking disstance to the attractions. The staff were all very nice especially Mary on reception who would go out of her way to help you find your way around Paris and making sure we were ok. They all spoke english. Hotel is on a quite street off the main road so no traffic noise and few doors down is a supermarket and a bakery. Metro is few mins walk. Rooms are very clean, bed was very comfortable, lovely huge windows which open up and let in lots of air, choice of pillows, amazinmg lighting in the room, beautiful high ceilings and fantastic boutique hotel which has bags of character. Room did not have kettle however just had to ask in reception for one which was not a issue for staff. Tv was not the best, we found 1 english speaking channel out of 60 which was bbc news however we didn’t really go to paris to watch telly and being in centre you seem to always be out or popping in for a little rest and out again. I would definitely stay here again.

Although the start was not the best - approaching from Ave Victor Hugo with a large bag and a buggy was not the best (staircase to a different street level), the reception and their rapidity to find us the nicest room made up to that hiccup. The room was spacious considering that you are in Paris! there was space for a big bed, toddlers bed and for us to move around (it does not happen everywhere in France, believe me) without shifting furniture. The only thing I would point out would be the fact that no one knew how to operate travel cot. I think that hotels should not assume that parents know how to do it, but if you have it in your hotel and you are offering to the guests, then the staff should be able to do it. Other than that it was a lovely experience!
