Hotels near Magsaysay Park

We celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary at this hotel. I made a request for early check in at 12nn but there was no reply from them. We checked in at about 3pm, sadly there were no available parking space because it was reserved for the wedding attendees. Parking slot will be available at 7:30pm. So we parked beside the street way too far from the hotel and had to walk going there. As we arrived at the reception, the hotel staff was able to fast track the check in process with no hassle. We were satisfied of our room (superior room) which has big space, clean and soft comforters, and complementary coffee and tea but only one small bottled water. What we liked most was the buffet breakfast. My husband was very much satisfied with the food. I loved their bread and jams. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

We have stayed here several times since it opened. It is in an excellent location (adjacent to the best mall in Davao City), has great staff, and very comfortable and quiet. Parking can be a challenge when the hotel is fully booked or is hosting a conference because the parking garage has limited spaces, and there is no other option. To address that, we have often used a taxi to get to our other destinations within the city so as not to lose our parking spot in the garage.

Booked the executive suite but had to add extra bed, as I was expecting 2 bedrooms but it only had 1. Facilities were great because it is relatively a new hotel. Staff were attentive and warm. They attended to my needs promptly and check in was a breeze. Beds were soft and comfy. Toiletries were sufficient. Breakfast buffet was average and had limited spread but relatively cheap (250/head). Jacuzzi was the best part of the stay and the staff was nice enough to turn it on for us.The only thing I didn't like about this place is the views from the room. Everywhere I looked it was roofs and streets. Other than this, Im very happy with my stay at the pinnacle.

We were mostly out of the room due to our tours. But whenever we come back, they have already cleaned the room, fixed the bedsheets, placed new towels... and best of all, our personal belongings remained UNTOUCHED. Our only concern was with the tour agency the hotel booked for us. We booked a 10hr COUNTRYSIDE tour (Phil Eagle Center, Eden Nature Park etc.,) plus CITY tour if we have remaining time. That was the agreed tour itinerary. But on the day of our tour, the tour agent told us that our rate was only for ONE Countryside and the rest is for City tour (as agreed by the agency and the hotel). We were not informed about the CHANGE of plans so we had no choice but to add Php500 just to avail the complete Countryside tour when supposedly that should have been our itinerary. Anyway, that was the only concern. The hotel amenities, location and cleanliness are tops!

Hello! I highly recommend this hotel in Davao city. The staff are friendly and will give you the best service possible. The room is clean as well as the bathroom. My accommodation includes buffet breakfast and I'm giving the breakfast food selections 5 stars. Few things that can be improved is their hot shower, please have it checked because your guests will highly favored hot showers in the evening after a long tiring day. The bathroom includes a bath tub which needed to have another look specifically the water stopper because it wasn't really working well. I would have wanted to enjoy a hot tub but I couldn't save water. I didn't bother to call and have it fix during my stay as I was already tired to wait for someone to take a look at it -- so this is for your future guests. Overall, it's worth the money staying at TRMH. Thank you.

Great stay! I would like to come back there and stay for more nights. Location is great and accessible to almost every places of interest in the city. If you were to visit Davao and looking for a place to stay but affordable, don't go anywhere else but stay in this hotel. Staffs are great and buffet breakfast is as good as the breakfast in a 5 star hotel. Although parking is not as big as other hotel but you can find somewhere around the area to park your car or ask for assistance.

I and my partner stayed for a night only. We got the matrimonial bed since there was a good offer for the room. Matrimonial rooms are regularly priced at around Php 1500+ but we got to book it for only Php 1100. A very good deal. The staff were friendly during our stay. The bathroom was clean and hot and cold shower was available. The location is very strategic since it is located near shopping malls and city centers. We haven't experienced ordering their food since we ate at a local resto outside the hotel. If you are in the city for business purposes, you may need to bring your own wifi device since the wifi is only available at the lobby. Also, phone signals are somewhat low on our room. Having said that, I still recommend the place if you are on a budget and want a clean and peaceful place to stay.

I stay at this hotel with my wife and 1 year old child and my brother-in-law family for 1 week. The place very convenience with major transport just right outside.Its near the People's Park , Gaisano Mall and the night market(all within walking distance).There are many Banks,ATMs outside. The transportation (Jeep,tricycle) are just at the entrance to anywhere. The room need some extra lighting.....other than that i would highly recommend this hotel. The staff are just FANTASTIC.....There is a in-house restaurant and i highly commended the staff at the front desk as well as the room service..-----THEY will serve u hot drinking water (even 2 cup) they will bring them to your room.THATS what i wan as a service where the staff goes that extra miles for you. I SAY AGAIN:::: GREAT HOTEL,GREAT STAFF..GREAT SERVICES.....these will make up for all the short coming that a hotel may have.

I booked and check-in a standard room the same day, I really like using agoda for rushed booking because you can still get great and cheap deals for hotel like this. and what i stated in my booking request was delivered by this hotel. We had a smooth check-in. Though our only purpose is just to get a comfy rest through the night, there is a night market in the area if you want to go a little shopping and explore davao street food. My only concern is the hotel is still using an old fashioned door knob lock system and this kind of lock doesn't make you feel secure when leaving your stuff in the room. But overall our stay is very good with free breakfast. I can stay in this hotel again.

the hotel staff was great, very helpful, though housekeeping could have been more at times consistent with keeping the room with more shower floor mates, sometimes hit or miss, room was comfortable, clean. The front desk personnel always helpful and very knowledgeable. the restaurant " tiggos" attached to hotel, the food was not bad but they were very inconsistent with their portions and found a thumb tack in my fiancées food. After that we never ate there again.

The location is👍. Walking distance to people's park. You can do jogging at the park early morning, many people do it and it feels like home. Bank's are nearby, so if easy to withdraw if you become broke 😁😂. The city hall, cathedral, parks, museo dabawenyo are within reach by foot. Enjoy walking because it's good as exercise. Not far from the museo dabawenyo is the D Bone musuem, make sure not to miss this. Museo dabawenyo and D bone musuem has tour guide, they give very informative details. It's 👍👍. Few blocks away from the hotel is the Penong's and Saging Repablik which happen to be in my itinerary, which makes the it great place to stay. Roxas night market, pasalubong center, bankerohan market, aldhevinco shopping center and Gmall are all within reach by foot. So enjoy walking.😊👣 711 is the nearest convenient store which is 3-5 minutes walk (depend how you walk 🚶) For the price, book day before or within the day, it is much cheaper. 😊👍 Before leaving the hotel, you triple check your belongings. Because during check out they will not inspect your room. After you hand over the keys, they will just say that you're good to go. The cleans are room, during check in they have this form, you have options if you like them to clean the room or not. This makes you feel more secure that once you leave the room on day time, they will not enter without your permission. So it's 👍👍👍

The staff is friendly and helpful. Our initial room has dimmed lights so we asked to be transferred. They were booked solid due to kadayawan event but were able to transfer the following day to a much better one. Love the convenience as it is walking distance to shopping, food, and City Hall. The only thing the owners should change are those dim lights. Replace it with bright ones because it was hard to open our luggage (TSA with codes). Also very straining to the eyes. Another one is the parking. If they clear some of the items on the side it may be easier to get out. Other than that if you don't have a vehicle, plenty of taxis and jeepneys.

Pros: budget friendly hotel Very kind and approachable owner Quiet place artistic interior Cons: Poor internet conection, u have to go out of your room to have a better conection. Room is (poorly)warmly lit. You need to open all the lights if you want to read a book. Location is inside the village. but Just a 4 to 5 minutes walk to the highway. Bonus: the owner is the mother of davao's renowed artist. Kublai. His works of art is exhibited in the hallway of the hotel where u can view it for free!

i had a great stay with my brother and nieces.rooms are big with a receiving area on the first floor with kitchen and extra comfort room. complimentary breakfast is great and staff are friendly. great swimming pool which is free to use. availability of wifi but need to purchase a card to access. i suggest that it will be better if they offer wifi access for free. i am looking forward to book in again on this hotel and will recommend this place to my friends with huge family. i am sure that they will enjoy their stay while exploring davao city.

We booked a one-night stay at the Ponce Suites Gallery Hotel but had to move to another hotel at around midnight because an elderly member of our family found the artwork unsettling. That, of course, was by no means the hotel's fault and just goes to show that this hotel is most ideal for those who appreciate all things out of the ordinary. The walls of the corridors are covered floor to ceiling in photographs, paintings and sculptures. Not everyone may appreciate the artwork, but the experience of seeing them and how they turn the entire hotel into an art gallery is in itself engaging. The rooms are spartan but at the price they are offered at with breakfast included in the room rate, it is all beyond reasonable. Front desk staff may seem a tad shy but they immediately attend to guest's needs. The owner's sister responded to our email inquiries and she was a delight to correspond with. She even gave us a free room upgrade. Pizza at the restaurant was served with slices of Davao sausages, a flavor profile as unique as the hotel itself. All things considered, value for money is beyond compare.

Pros: -Accessible location. You can ride a jeepney in front of the hotel going to sasa wharf to samal. One ride to gmall, sm lanang, abreeza and robinsons. -Near San Pedro Cathedral, osmena park, d' bone collector museum, roxas market, peoples park, museo dabawenyo, city hall and freedom park (walking distance lang) or ride padyak or tricycle. - near bpi and bdo -restaurants everywhere -Clean room -free glutatione soap hahaha -free breakfast (but we failed to avail it) CONS -Noisy aircon -no elevator - hotel starts at the 3rd floor of the bldg. -not soundproof wall -broken deadlock -no hanger or any place to hang the towels.

Zen room is located inside Alu hotel. I checked the prices in Alu hotel and the cheapest room is Php2000 but I only paid Php910 for the room I booked here in Zen room. hehehe Thank you Agoda for the vouchers. It's cheap but the room is very spacious!! My boyfriend and I really loved it because it's clean, has a huge bed and the ambiance is very relaxing. It is right in front of Roxas Night Market so it's the best! The staff are also very kind. Our room was on the 4th floor but they have an elevator :D I would definitely come back here!

decent hotel within the city. Walking distance to Gmall. Stayed 4days3nights at the 2nd floor with deluxe twin bed and extra bedding for the kid. The room is just convenient for sleeping with occassional power blackout as scheduled within the city. Wifi is accessible although quite weak at the far end of the 2nd floor. I am able to access wifi outside of the room,at leats while seating at the 2nd floor lobby. Basic amenities are minimal with only 2pcs of soap and 1 roll of tissue for the rest of your stay. So better bring some of your toiletries with you. Although there's a drugstore at the ground floor , you can buy some of your stuff from there. A bakery also and an internet cafe right next to the building can be found. Parking is very hard as it is always full but I commend the good security guard who always assists us in parking. Overall this hitel is for those who find a place to sleep and the rest of the days empty coz they are always on the go. Not bad either coz everything else is within your reach.

the "al ancar" hotel is really clean, the staff very friendly, there are many smaller shops around, restaurants, trycicles and taxis. the university is close, therefore the streets are crowded by students. the are walking in the road until late, so there is always live in the streets. for recreation, "people's park" is close, also the sea (ramon magsaysay park). in all i can say, i really recommend this hotel.
