Hotels near Guangzhou Zoo

Wow, so first I'm a 50yo traveller who spends a lot of time in upmarket hotels. I'm not easily impressed, and prefer niche brands like Banyan Tree over the Hyatt/Hilton larger market brands. Add to that, my expectations of Guangzhou were a little trepidatious. So imagine our surprise when we found such a luxery hotel, with simply the best bed I have ever slept in, and the most diverse and extravagant breakfast I have seen anywhere incl Thailand holiday resorts (well done to F&B manager Adam). Seriously, DO NOT SKIP BREAKFAST! Concierge staff were definitely helpful (you need that in China!), and checkin/out was very efficient too. All round, 5/5 on every dimension.

It is my fab hotel in Guangzhou I stay here every month as I am a frequent traveller to china Mai ly...aside from hk ;) I would say it's great cos I have great memories living in that location from the old times... It has a metro station so very convenient for travel anywhere within gz 15 minutes away from the railways station to dongguan, hongkong and foshan etc...can safely say there location makes them hotel that will never go out of style come what may...bang in the heart of Guangzhou it is a great one

the hotel is located within walking distance from Ximenkou station, which is a station conveniently located to access to most shopping places in Guangzhou. The street that links to the hotel has a variety of food that you will not be worried of getting starved. the best thing about the hotel is the awesome street food at night. There you can enjoy a good and cheap meal after a day of shopping in Guangzhou. Its convenient location certainly make the hotel value for money.

Considering that most hotel rooms in nearby Hong Kong are high-cost tiny cubicles, the prices at Yingbin are stunningly low. It's a 5-star hotel in elegant facilities and accoutrements. Our room was huge -- about 325 sq ft. All the finishings were in marble, with updated bathrooms. Very comfortable and huge bed. Excellent location -- we were able to walk easily to Beijing Road, and the historical areas of Liwan -- not to mention falling out of the hotel into shoping, shopping, shopping and eating, eating, eating: both the specialities of Guangzhou. It also has the tremendous convenience in its compound (lovely, by the way) of an bus service hourly to Hong Kong-Kowloon and Hong Kong airport (saving the traveler the schlepp back to the train station and then further transport to HK airport). Compare the price of this formerly government hotel for high-level guests to international chains -- it's less than a quarter of their prices! For us, the place was excellent.

I have stay few other hotel in Guangzhou with 4 star standard and price is pretty close. I must share that this hotel Asia Int'l is one beautiful hotel and the rooms are big. The setting of the furniture, TV, Lighting, keyless entry, bed and also the toilet has it's class. The minute I step into the hotel lobby, the front desk staffs greet with a big smile. When i reach my room, the key to the door has a class with good sensor and produce a nice music. when I enter the room i was in complete shock to find that the room is so well furnish and everything look so new and nice. I love the bed as they are soft and the way the set up inside the room is so pleasant that you just refuse to get out of your room. Most importantly that I enjoy my stay in this hotel. I must say that you stay there and you will know what i mean. I will go back to this hotel again for all my business trip and if my staff visit Guangzhou of Business trip I will put them in this hotel too.

for the price, i did not expect such aa lovely hotel. the room is small enough to be cosy, yet large enough to be quite spacious. especially love the quaint old-style tea table and stools in my room; perfect way to enjoy a cup of complimentary chinese tea after a long day, while gazing out the window at the city lights. with helpful staff and it's good location, this is a hotel i will return to again and again. 20 minutes walk to beijing road shopping area, large malls and smaller local shops all around the hotel; one eed never go far to buy anything. on premise are good quality restaurants, cantonese, taiwanese and japanese, and within 2-5 minutes walk are local restaurant at local prices. great for selection. if they get lcd/plasma tvs, pad some rooms with softer mattresses for foreigners, and put in an on-premise salon and foot reflex joint, this hotel will rate 5 stars in my book. as is, i will give it 4 stars. oh, one minor complain is a lack of parking. combine with the price, this hotel is hands down my favourite in guangzhou.

We often visit Guangzhou for the weekend to wind down after a hectic week of work. Our requirement for a weekend hotel is a smart, clean room that is reasonably priced. The Ocean hotel easily delivers this, the rooms are smart, modern and clean, more like a 5 star China hotel than a 4 star. We have stayed 3 times in the last 6 weeks and will continue to use this hotel as it represents exceptionally good value for money. The location too is well placed and close to many restaurants and a flash shopping mall with the worlds best brands...

I really enjoyed my stay at Crowne Plaze Guangzhou City Centre Hotel. It is a great hotel - the lobby is beautiful and smells great. I got into Guangzhou Int'l Airport past 12 midnight and had no problem getting a taxi to the hotel, which is in downtown next to the famous Guangzhou International Building. I loved my room - it was huge - and I got a free upgrade because my original room was booked. My bed was so comfortable - great for someone with jetlag. The service was excellent at the hotel, and they gave me two complimentary 100 Yuan discount tickets to the foot massage place (independently owned) on the 5th floor. The hotel is very convenient - there's a McDonald's, a family mart, restaurants, etc. nearby. My closet was huge, my view was very good, and everyone was so nice. All of the employees speak English perfectly. Check in and check-out are very easy. The room amenities are high quality, including lotion, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush kit, comb, shaving kit, natural soaps, bath salts, blowdryer, ironing board and iron with steam, etc. Loved it.

A good value hotel in Guangzhou where the reception staff speaks english and is very helpful. The housekeeping is also very courteous and responsive. Night life is close and a walking distance away.Lots of restaurants including western restaurants close by.All amenities like swimming pool and restaurants are shared with Ocean Hotel which is adjaceent and interconnected. Probably the owners of both the hotels are same. Overall a good hotel to stay in Guangzhou.

I stayed for one night in the Executive Room overlooking the Pearl River upon my arrival at Guangzhou. Check in was a breeze and I managed to enjoy drinks at Bar 5 which happened to be their roof top bar. They've got one of the best happy hour deals in town! However, the absolute highlight of my stay happened to be the customer service by the hotel staff. Paul Shing at the reception desk was a gem and went above and beyond to retrieve an item that I had inadvertently left behind in my cab from the airport. In addition, he ensured my stay was comfortable throughout and didn't hesitate to give friendly recommendations for dining options and tourist destinations. Also, a shout out to the friendly bartender, Finn for ensuring that my cocktails were on point and kept the drinks flowing at the bar. I enjoyed my stay and won't hesitate to return upon my next visit to Guangzhou!

Very old hotel, the blanks was not very clean as well I booked this hotel coz it said free upgrade from standard to comfort room, and it was not an upgrade at all, just that my room is facing the park not the street but inside is the same. I wouldn't call it a upgrade. Anyway I will go back coz it is close to where I want to go in Guangzhou but only if it is on special again. And also they cannot offer china style invoice, if that is an issue for you to claim your expenses then better think twice

I got a room for $28 or so on Agoda. Was beyond any expectations. Was very clean, comfortable. Very nice to have free bottles of water to drink. Shower was fine. Had the best dumplings of my life at the Dim Sum/Tea restaurant on the 5th floor. Also a massage place on the 6th floor (I forget if that's the 6th but you can ask). And, a Starbucks on the 1st floor! What more to ask for. The Hotel staff kindly let me leave my luggage at the Hotel for a night for free when I went out of town. Overall, recommend!

If you are looking a excellent hotel strategically located near metro, attractions, public transportation, shopping centers, street food and restaurants. There is also 24 hour convenience marts and street food around the corner. This hotel is a great place to rest and refresh after a day tour around the city and embark on a new adventure the next day. If you are a stay in the hotel all day guest to enjoy the pool, gym or hotel spa you won't find it in this hotel. There is also no hotel parking. There is a paid parking bay a few buildings down the block.

This hotel compare to other hotel in Guangzhou is very good. Still a new hotel, Clean, good design/art, air conditioning cold & have a unique music welcome to the room. It is actually a portable speaker for Apple products. I stay here for 3 nights. Location near the train station. Good & relax stay. But the breakfast always the same for 3 days. And the choice & taste is very standard. Overall i will recommend this hotel for relax stay

Halal restaurant at 2nd floor (Turkish Restaurant) Chinese halal muslim restaurant just 5 minutes walk in front of the hotel buildings 4 minutes walk to Xiaobei metro station (underground light transit train) -most important thing to consider- 5 minutes train (1 stop) to Mosque 5 minutes walk to Halal groceries. Qibla sign in room. Great hospitalities, helpful receptionist and manager. clean, comfort, and peaceful room. toilet with pipe hose (giler enko nak selet2 lepas membuang)..muslims really love this! i’ll stay again for sure! best ever hotel for muslim!

the hotel is walking distance to the xi men kou station and 16 min walk to Beijing road if you want to do alot of clothes shopping. ample choices of restaurant around the hotel. To go site seeing like chan family academy is just 1 train stop away. however for those with sensitive noses, you may not like the chemical smell of the room once you check in, after a day or two, the smell would subside. also, the drainage system of the bathroom is not the best as it always get 'flooded' after shower, but if you are not sharing bathroom with a roommate then that wont be a major issue. overall, I would stay in this hotel again if I visit guangzhou in future.

my stays at the king garden go back four years. management used a lot of trainees at the front desk, but they now have professional supervision and enough english to get by for english speakers. the b building has the more attractive rooms and public space the a building is the best value in town. with an agoida discount the b building is value for money. buffet breakfast is copious, gym is a bonus. the hotel restaurant is among the better cantonese cuisines in town. maintenance remains a weak point. safes usually need battery replacement. hand shower work but overhead shower is nonfunctional in many rooms. after four years you'd think someone would fix them. house staff are helpful though without english. setting, value, amenities are all plusses.
