We just loved the great position on the Saone River, just next to the old and very hip and buzzy area of town. Great atmosphere with good restaurants and bars plus loads of history. Just across the river were more of these plus interesting shops. As for being in a great spot for historical landmarks, this is the best! So good that we stayed another night!

I loved this hotel. I read bad reviews about the basic room being split over 2 levels so I got the better room. The hotel isn't cheap but it really is gorgeous. It's in the historical area of Lyon and the building itself is one of the attractions to the area.
