Very nice hotel close to all of Montmartre's attractions. Our room was a junior suite with one king size bed and one Murphy bed in the other room. We could see the Eiffel Tower from our windows. Location was convenient: the hotel is a 5-10 min walk from the Metro and the Sacre Coeur. Great when travelling with young children. There are lots of restaurants in the neighourhood. The staff was helpful and granted us a late checkout.

Stopped for a night out in Paris on the way home from the Dordogne. Hotel Montmartre is on a quiet street just 5 minutes walk (up some steps!) from Sacre Coeur. Could not have been better. Comfortable bed, crisp white linen and towels, very clean. Staff were very welcoming too. Plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from: we dined on the Place du Tertre where the artists gather. Hotel does not do breakfast but there are lots of cafes nearby for a croissant and coffee. Supermarket and baker on the street. Hotel reserved private parking (locked) 3 mins walk away; cost just 18 euro.

We very much enjoyed this simple little hotel. It is a five min walk from le sacre coeur and we loved walking around the neighbourhood. The no-frills room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast simple and delicious (coffee, croissants and fresh bread), and the staff was friendly. Would definitely go again. Two minor issues were that the internet kept falling away (prompting the need to log in again) and the shower was often just not warm enough. However, these issues did not override our enjoyment of the stay.

Metro on the corner,but the street is not loud. Not the safest district but we didn't have problem with noone. The receptionist was kind,he spoke english great, They even gave us a better and bigger room,not the One we have reserved. After check out They let us to leave there our baggages,while we visited some other places. There's no elevator,it was a challenge to Go upstairs but great exercise for us, for elderly it might cause some problem. The personal don't bother you. Very near supermarket, the Sacre cour,metro,bars,everything you might need to stay in Paris. The room was so nice, smelled great,shampoo,soap,towels,cups in the room. There was no Wi-Fi in the room, only downstairs, but really if you are in Paris, Why would you want to use your Phone all day?! It's better to be With each other, we loved this too. It was way better than we expected,if we Will Go once again, definitely would stay here once again : )

Very nice ladies at the reception, who let us drop our luggage until we could check in in the afternoon, as we arrived at 8am out of an international flight. Our 3 person room, one double and one single bed, was not very big, but very clean and comfy for one night. A kettle in the room would have been nice though. Very convenient for catching a train from Gare du Nord, just 11 euros by taxi, or walking distance if not too many luggage. About 20 minutes walk to the Sacre Coeur. The hotel is near the African part of Paris, with many immigrant workers, and in the evening, there were many groups of men chatting or congregating in the street, with virtually no woman in sight. Everybody was peaceful and good natured, but lone female travellers might possibly feel a bit ill at ease with mostly men hanging around in the streets. Wifi was good and free. All in all a good and reasonably priced hotel.

I especially love the location. Very near the La Chapelle metro station. (If you come from Airport, go to Gare Du Nord, then walk inside the station towards La Chappelle station). The surrounding area have lots of places to eat (especially Indian, Turkish, or Halal) and many groceries shop. Some would feel the place a bit dodgy (as some review would say), but they'd only feel like that if they're not used to being in a very multi-cultural area, and that is exactly what the surrounding area is like. Just be careful of your stuff, just like you would protect it anywhere else. The staff were very helpful and friendly, I actually forgotten my passport at the reception area and they kept it for me the whole day until I returned to the hotel. You can leave your luggage there if you need it, which is a great bonus. Didn't try the food service though, but overall it was a great stay. Thank you!

This hotel is in a great position within easy walking distance to all the landmarks of Montmatre including Sacre Coeur, as well as being near to the Metro. It is also only a short taxi ride from Gare du Nord where the Channel Tunnel train arrives. The rooms were very spacious for a Parisian hotel with well equipped ensuite bathrooms. The most amazing feature was free wifi throughout the hotel - a most unexpected bonus for us.

Le Chat Noir uis well placed to see the Sacre Coeur and has good links to the metro, 4 stops from Gare du Nor station so convienent for Eurostar travellers. I searched for Monmatre, but the htoel is closer to Pigalle which is the red light district of Paris. We never felt unsafe but there were plenty of sex shops and strip bars nearby so if you take your kids, prepare for some interesting questions. The room was nice, compact and clean with a view and a big flat screen telly (CBS, BBC news Sky news etc). Very comfortable bed. No tea and coffee making facilities. We didn't have the breakfast so can't comment. Staff were very friendly and helpful, reception manned 24 hours. We would definitely go back.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. We got a twin bedroom, it wasn't huge but I wouldn't say it was small. The bathrooms were however small but not complaining. There's a tv, it had 1 English Channel. We had wifi in the room, it was very slow and not the greatest but not a lot of places have wifi. The breakfast was 14e which is way too expensive so we never ate there but I'm sure it was nice. The lift is tiny, 180kg max. There's little cafes around the hotel, the nicest ones are by the sacre coer so I would suggest go there. Apparently it's meant to be a rough area but I've seen worse. It's quiet at night. We found that there weren't a lot of bars with music but hotcafe was the best I think. I would stay at this hotel again.

With only 19 rooms, this place kind of felt more like a home than a hotel! All of the decorations and fixtures are new and chic - we had an exposed brick wall, faux fireplace, mirrored night tables and a gorgeous black tiled shower. Yes, the room and bathroom are small, but my husband and I felt like it just added to the character. We were steps from the Moulin Rouge in one direction and from Montmartre in the other. Not to mention that the walk up Rue Lepic to the bustling artistic (yet admittedly touristy) Montmartre square includes adorable boutiques (both his and hers), patisseries, a frommagerie, fresh fruit, fresh fish, a gorgeous little chocolate store and plenty of watering hole-in-the-walls. We had a short stay and only wanted to focus on one neighborhood, and Hotel le Squara was a great location. The taxi stand across the street (in front of a Starbucks) also made it very easy to commute to dinner and then back to the airport.

Great little hotel with fantastic location, clean and simple room a great place to relax after a day out shopping and sightseeing. Easy access to metro, Sacre Coeur, and the whole Montmartre area. Rooms were small (we stayed 3 adults in one room) but they were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was small and the shower curtain broken, but all was clean and nice. Staff was friendly and helpful except for one guy one the phone for 10 minutes while we were waiting to ask for help.

Boutique Hotel I like the location not sure why there as so many negative reviews as the location is multicultural and everyone is going about their business without any issues Checkin was smooth and there is a precise checkin time at 3pm which with a little flexibility would be nice Rooms are biggest I have found across other hotels within similar price range and location therefore you are getting value for money than sleeping in an 11sqm room The lounge area is pretty big and worked well for me as we spent the day working on a proposal, there is enough activity to feel you are not alone but not overwhelming Around 4pm the lounge transforms into a restaurant and is quite lively filled with wonderful colors of people Food smells delicious Witnessed a party and a wedding as well as the locals coming for drinks Security at the entrance is friendly and polite The room is a good size Shower and or bath International tv channels Coffee machine and coffee View was nice and all the rooms seem to have a decent view Would I stay again - yes A few little things could be tinkered to get a 7 star review Like this hotel Like the staff Hotel GM try’s his best to make every guest happy Cleaning staff are fabulous and fun to have a quick chat with I think like me you should try this hotel before judging it and I think you will be quite pleasantly surprised Every hotel has its quirks This one is a great find Enjoy Will be back soon

It is very near to the metro station which is good. There are many resto bars and shops around. It is good for back packers and people who will only spend a night or two. It is an old building, so don't expect it to be fully sound proof from the hallway. Another downside during our stay was that the noise in the top floor. It sounded like somebody was moving furnitures all night. We didn't bother to complain as it was just bearable. We slept through the night, despite. The best part was that the staffs were friendly and approachable.

The staff were exceptional. I arrived exhausted after a long flight from Astralia. They hurried up the availability of my room, and I was able to have a nice hot shower and a shave and feel human again in no time at all. There are some great authentic French restaurants nearby, a short walk to the top of the hill, just behind the Sacre Coeur church. Breakfast in the hotel is better than in surrounding cafes. Street cafes in Paris have lost their shine, they are usually full of cigarette smelling men sipping coffees. If you want good food and coffee to start the day, the hotel breakfast bar is had to beat. The decor and hotel name is obviously aimed at couples seeking a romantic getaway. Ignore that, it's a great place to stay and the price is quite reasonable. I would happily stay here again. It's a little out of town but there are three metro stations nearby to get there quickly and cheaply.

We may have been lucky, but the day we arrived there were street parties in Monmartre. All types of bands playing in the streets and it was great until late at night. And no cops enforcing DIP (drunk in public) laws like in the US. The location is near the cemetery and walking distance to Sacre Coeur and the street artist square. We also walked to Notre Dame but it is a long walk. Hotel is kind of minimal but does have a kitchen and an excellent staff who speak English. Good value if you are interested in being in a great location.

Great location in quiet street but very close to restaurants, bars and nightlife. Superarkets nearby. Two metro stations and bus stations very close. Small hotel and small rooms but clean. Bathroom clean, towells clean. The walls are little bit tiny so we heard our neibours sometimes. Breakfast very good for Paris standard. Overal very good value for us (we paid 79€/night with breakfast).

The entrance is big, the Staff is very engaged to help you and to talk to you. Surely you can have all the help you need. The Ibis-Hotel is directly located to Moulin Rouge and Sacre Cour! The Metropolitan is near, there is a grocery store near the Hotel and several Bars and france restaurants or fancy cool stores which you not find somewhere else in Paris. Just look for the near traditional restaurante to have breakfast or fresh baked Baguette. A bit snooby the staff there but the food taste very good. Coquelicot or something like that was the name. I had two hotelrooms there, the first was a smokerroom (but there are no official smokerrooms) and after changing I just saw, both rooms got no view. Looking into the center of the circled hotel. But at least it was very quiet! Dont check in near the Elevators! I think the money was worth to be here, its not as clean as I would wish (the toilet is near the wall, but the wall will not be cleaned for the next centuries), but every thing else seems to be very clean. Enjoy france!

The staff were very professional very helpful. They were always willing to give us all the information we need. The place was close to all the facilities ( the metro, buses, restaurants, supermarket, chemists, and 15 min. walk to the SACRE - COEUR BASILICA. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. once again we thank you all for your hospitality and good advice. What a beautiful country Paris is. It was unforgettable pilgrimage and holiday we enjoyed all the scenery in Paris ( thanks to AUTOBUS PARIS, and to RIVER SEINE HOP_ON HOP_OFF TOUR)

The hotel was lovely, great value for money, from the very beginning of when I booked it, I emailed the hotel a few times and was answered by Mohammed whose English was perfect and he always replied with 30 minutes. The beds were so comfortable, the staff were very helpful with directions and maps etc, my only small critisism and it is small was that there was no milk in the room to go with the coffee and tea and the lady on the reception didn't want to give us any. However, when we left the hotel, and we told reception this, he apologised and said they were going to sort it out. Otherwise it was great and we told our friends on the way home on the eurostar how good it was and that it was value for money. Thanks to everyone Susan

Stay was wonderful. We were there for the fete de music on June 21 and that was something else! We could see a band out our window. When we walked out, 2! It WAS clean, and in a great spot for getting to Metro. Sacre Coeur was a short walk up the hill and offers great views of the whole city. We would stay there again, as other rooms I looked at were twice the price and we are on a budget. 6 euro breakfast was plenty: breads, butter, cheese, jam, coffee, tea, juice. I am thankful for great reviews, for it made me feel okay about staying there and they were spot on. Downside: poor drains in shower and sink, thin walls, teensy place. Similar things were written in other reviews. If you want to be able to afford Paris, this is a fine place to be.

Barely five minutes from the Anvers Metropolitan Station and only about a 10-minute walk to the Sacre Coeur, this is a prefect hotel for those who want to live right in the middle of the city. From my room (Room 31) I could see the tip of the Eiffel Tower, which was a wonderful sight every morning. The hotel itself is pretty basic but satisfactory. And it is clean. The toilets were always very clean and dry and for this, I was appreciative. The only problem I had was connecting to the wifi after leaving the hotel for the day. And the guy at the counter didn't believe me at first but he issued me another wifi ticket. When it happened again the third day, I just didn't bother. Perhaps they could look into that but othwerwise, I'd definitely recommend this place.

The property is located about 5 minutes walk from Montmartre and Sacre Coeur, and has only 5 rooms which has the feel of a private European bed and breakfast pensione, making us feel more like residents instead of tourists. We were upgraded to the Deluxe Suite which was at the top of the house, a massive room with two large double beds, walk in shower, claw foot bath, atrium style window facing the Eiffel Tower and a quirky collection of electronic robotic dogs! Highly recommended for those looking for something private, non-touristy and a little alternative.

When I arrived the concierge Mokrane was sweet, helpful and very organised! The room was clean, airy and good size. The shower was surprisingly powerful with good clean towels. Sheets were great, soft and nice comfy pillows. Room w/bathroom all for £50 per day! Difficult to get cheaper particularly in that neck of the woods , 9th/18th arrondissement - Pigalle/Montmartre/Sacre Coeur - this rate is unbeatable and certainly well worth it! I would only warn everyone to remember that rooms on the street side will be noisier - singing/screaming/shouting/celebrating/music etc... on Friday/Saturday nights - so unless you are armed with earplugs/sleeping pills or whatever my suggestion is you make sure you get a room looking out on back area. The concierge at the desk Mokrane is simply adorable (as is other chap who works the late shift) he took a few messages for me, called my friend and a taxi all on his own phone!! I strongly recommend this hotel to everyone! !
