Great location but small room and need maintenance. Need to climb stairs (10 steps) to get elevator.”
Location is very near to Anvers Metro. Price reasonable but hotel need to be upgraded. We brought our 30kg luggage to get elevator (approx. 10 steps stair) to 3rd floor then need to bring luggage down 10 steps to get to room. So inconvenient for those carrying large luggage. Room bed not comfy, pillow too soft and wall paper in room tear every where. Toilet newly renovated, so its clean and good. Room quite tight for travelers who bring in large luggage. No tea /coffee/kettle. :( Halal pizza café is very near to this hotel & also many halal food 1 block away from this hotel. Good for muslim travelers. Staff hospitality is good. They help us to call for airport taxi for 2 taxis (9 of us with luggages). The taxi company at first agreed with Euro 85 & Euro 60. When reach the airport the drivers ask for Euro 90 & Euro 65. Do not know for what reason. However, we just pay them. Breakfast is reasonable for Euro 6 (1 croissant, 1 small baguette, butter, jam, 1 juice & 1 hot drink).

A two star hotel with a two star performance”
We only stayed here for a night because we needed a place near Basilica Sacre Coeur. Location is a 3 minute walk to the metro but we wouldn't advice walking to/from the metro or around the neighborhood late at night because of some drunkards hopping on/off in the station near the hotel. There was some initial misunderstanding about our Paris Museum Pass which we requested to be mailed in the Hotel before our arrival. The receptionist showed disinterest and very unmindful about our missing Paris Museum Passes. After three trips to the reception area, when I finally had the contact information of Paris Info, that was only when he realized that my passes were at the reception table all along. Hotel has a beautiful view of Parisian buildings or apartments. If you're staying in Montmartre for a couple of nights, then Hotel Gerando is an OK choice but I'm sure there's a better, cheaper option around the area.

Great Location but hotel need refurbishment & maintainance”
Good: Location very Near to Anvers Metro. Halal food just infront of hotel i.e Pizza Time. Best pizza & other Italian menus. Staff very helpful. They help to request taxi to airport. Breakfast very simple for Euro 6. Bathroom renovated and clean. Bad: Mattress not comfy & pillow too soft. Hotel need maintenance for room wallpaper torn & no kettle in room. Lift available but not recommended for travelers with large luggage since we need to climb 10 steps to carry our huge luggage to get to lift and need to carry again when reach the room floor since lift is at 1/2 level at every floor.

Window with a view, great cafe downstairs, out of the main drag and busier section of town, we thought this place was great! Its simple but easy and had everything we needed for our stay in Paris.

The picture on the site are not very good. Hotel Gérando is the best value for money, it’s not a luxury hotel but extremely clean, very comfortable and the staff were pleasant and helpful. I would definitely recommend it to any budgeted traveller!

Good”
Room door opens only up to halfway only due to a narrow aisle you need to pass before getting to the rest of the bedroom. You need to be very cautious in order to get in especially if you have luggage’s. Very small space in room, shower, etc. - difficult to get around. Room area in description is quite misleading because of the unusable area which is the indoor aisle. Not all lights are functional. Carpet floor is dirty. Front desk staff was sleeping in the lobby when we checked out. The only thing going for this hotel is its location & price. Sacre Coaer, Bus Stations, and more are just nearby. I would be very explicit to friends when sharing the advantages & disadvantages of the hotel. Ultimately, it’s their choice. But for me, having experienced the experience already, I wouldn’t go back.

Good Value for Money”
We only payed around 25 euro per night, which wasn't shabby considering how close we were to the centre (only 30 minutes walk to the Louvre). The bathrooms were indeed new and great. The bedroom and bed itself were clearly a bit old and shabby, so even though it was cleaned well the inevitable stains in old sheets and furniture made it feel dirty. This notwithstanding, the staff were great and if you're looking for a cheap place to stay, this is everything you could ask for at this price.

Good location in Montmartre area, value for your money, clean and tidy. ”
The hotel is good for couples or backpackers giving you value for your money. A small room but clean and tidy, except that the bathroom is tiny and lacking of shelf to put your soap and shampoo. Great location in Montmartre area with nearby metro stations in the vicinity.

Avoid”
I understand this is a budget hotel and you get what you pay for. However, that is not an excuse for the lack of cleanliness. The carpet and walls had many, many stains on it. Even if the building is old, that is okay but perhaps management can clean the walls and carpet? BED BUGS were definitely present as my husband got several bed bug bites the next morning and so we simply checked out of the hotel after 1 night, forgoing the additional night we had booked. We checked into another hotel which was much cleaner and didn't have bed bugs! The staff were okay and the location was excellent but the room was honestly so dirty, it could ruin one's time in Paris. The bed covers also had stains and some holes in it - indicating it wasn't washed and very old. Again, I understand this is a 2 star hotel and certainly not comparing it to a 5 star hotel, but I have stayed in some micro-hotels on a budget before and it is much cleaner than this one.

Cheap price”
Cheap price and good location . Hotel is closed with metro and surrounded by many of restaurants. By the way, breakfast is nothing just 2 bread to provide each person no more refill.

No frills but good location ”
If you’re Looking for a cheap hotel and a great location this is perfect.no frills don’t expect great rooms with modern style. This hotel does need updating and a bit of paint work and some TLC wouldn’t go amiss. However the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great Location”
Hotel is a great location. Close to metro and restaurants. The front desk person was very nice, The wifi was useless. But we were really only there to sleep. We spent the whole day exploring the city. A plus - they let us leave our luggage after we checked out so we could spend more time in the city before our flight.

Good enough for a short stay”
A fairly basic hotel if you're not looking for anything luxurious. It's not far from the Metro Anvers and walkable distance from Gare du Nord (15 mins). Lots of restaurants in the area so convenient.

Location is great”
The location is very good with easy access to two metro lines. The hotel itself is very basic just a place to spend the night, nothing extra. Bathroom was clean. The bed sheets weren’t changed for the whole duration of my stay “5 nights”. The room smelled like a mix of smoke and cleaning detergent, not good.

Needs better deco”
Although it may be low priced, they can still spend money on interior design to make the rooms and corridors more welcoming.

The staff is AWFUL. Hostile, rude, anything but hospitable. Worst service. It’s also really dirty.”
The service was absolutely the worst I have ever experienced. The guy with glasses at the front desk was downright nasty to me and my elderly Dad from the second we walked in. He would not even welcome us or answer a single friendly question. He laughed in our face when we said we booked airport shuttle to hotel for a complimentary “meet and greet.” He told us there is no shuttle, after we just got out of it. He was angry about giving us the twin bed room we booked and tried to put me and my 70-year-old Dad in the same bed! I came down and nicely asked for towels, he got hostile, then laughed at me. It’s like he was TRYING to ruin our vacation, it was that awful. I even told him I am taking my Dad back to Paris after 50 years as a very special 70th birthday, he said he didn’t care and please don’t bother him. This staff is not helpful, outright nasty and rude. The place is filthy, smoked in, with giant burn marks on the carpet. Like a truck stop motel. Pics false.
