Good things: - great location, immediately above Ampere-Victor Hugo station, with staircase with outside hotel and elevator very close by (within 30 metres) - extremely comfortable bed (firm enough) - large bathroom with heating element - 24hr reception with helpful staff Things that can be improved upon: - shower stall door -- some water tends to leak from under the door, which then causes part of the toilet to be wet. May prove a bit unsafe - no fridge/minibar Didn't try the food, not sure about quality, but looked ok. Overall, very value-for-money, will definitely choose to stay again next time in Lyon

Refurbishment, but... a poor room in old section”
the room offered under the arrangement was not adequate (as of mid-may 2012): * it was un-refurbished, with old (but quaint) decore and appointments, one power point (french) apar from one for the tv, had thin walls, and had a squeeky floor. * and, the bathroom was the smllest imaginable! after entering the tiolet, there was 45cm (measured) between the new 'refurbishment' pipes and the wall, and a red-wine bottle iss 31cm long (measured) so a woman has trouble going past and a man has a sideways slide. tafter a shower, tere is smply no room to practically dry the body in the small space. the window blinds were absolutely not adequate to exclude the morning light. the refurbishment is being actively undertaken, and i expect it to be finished and the hotel fully renewed by about early august 2012. however, i strongly suggest that agoda and its customers do not use this hotel until after the refurbishment is complete, unless you are sure that you can abide these conditions. note: the staff were very helpful and spoke good english. the queen size bed was comfortable. the hotel is centrally placed in the city of lyons, and immediately beside a metro station and a restaurant area. breakfast if offered at 8 euro/person. (we made our own arrangements.)

Right in the middle of the town”
The location of the hotel was perfect as it is right in the middle of town where you can walk around and explore the city. As there are many eatery around and convenient stall, it is easy to get food and drinks. A great hotel to stay and explore the city. It is also near to the market where you can get fresh products. Would definitely going back to stay when we are back to Lyon.

Lovely modern and well located hotel”
We stayed at Alexamdra for 2 nights. The room was really clean. Staff was friendly. The umderground is just 10 meters away which is really convenient. The only (small) negative point is the the breakfast room. It is way too small. You can't really move around and seat comfortably as the tables are too close. We will certainly come back next time and spread the address

Central location, great style”
The rooms are very modern and in a modern style. We liked the location as it was close to the shopping area, the old part of the city and on preque-ile which is between the two rivers. The hotel is also very close to the train station and there are a couple of car parks in the area. Staff were very helpful

A very conveience hotel”
We arrived the hotel by a metro train, the hotel is nearby. If you take the train you can arrive at the Perrache Train Station and walk to the hotel. It only takes about 10 minutes by walking because the exit of the station faces the street of the hotel. The room is tidy and comfortable. The room rate is reasonable when we compare it with other cities in France.

Amazing location and service”
Very good value, overall. A little small, but new, clean, and warm (during winter). No safe facility, but staff (particularly one reception staff) were helpful and offered suggestions - on this and many other things. A real pleasure to stay here - located on the main Victor Hugo shopping street in the heart of the city. Right next to a grocery store and a local metro, walking distance to a large train interchange, walking distance to the large tourist bureau.

Brand new fit out on our floor, new bathrooms, walls and carpets. Could still smell the fresh paint! Apartment was quite tight but a nice stay. Would not recommend if you were staying long term due to the apartment size, however a night or two is great. NEw

Great location but really small rooms”
The rooms are newly renovated and are in good condition. However the rooms are really small and without refrigerators. Location is great and there are shops and Carrefour right at the corner.
