Loved this hotel ”

I loved this hotel. I read bad reviews about the basic room being split over 2 levels so I got the better room. The hotel isn't cheap but it really is gorgeous. It's in the historical area of Lyon and the building itself is one of the attractions to the area. The location is perfect - I had four nights in Lyon and I filled my days without needing to catch public transport or cabs once. I had a bit of a plan for Lyon but not much. The concierge was brilliant in helping me out. The hotel has created a special map for where to shop and the concierges mark up a map each day of suggestions of what to do depending on your interests. This, combined with my own research made the quick stop in Lyon perfect. The hotel has a restaurant which I had dinner at on my last night. The food was wonderful! I think the food is slightly overpriced but if you want a nice meal (or need gluten free as I did), this restaurant was perfect. Room was immaculately cleaned each day and staff around the hotel and the restaurant were great. On the room - there is a nice big bath and the room (one up from the most basic) was extremely spacious. One bottle of complimentary water was also placed in the room each day.

Beautiful, historic building, excellent concierge, great location. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The concierge is literally the best, anywhere... The location is in beautiful Old Lyon. The spa is very nice, spacious and open quite late. Overall, a very nice stay.

Great location but small roomw”

This is a very charmiing hotel in a perfect location in the Old Town. I was disappointed in the room, as it was small and dark even though I had booked a "Superior" room. As with most European hotels, the breakfast is overpriced, but I am used to going out for breakfast. There is also a Brasserie attached to the hotel, apparently very good.

The hotel is close to the old city attractions and all great restaurants. The room is lovely but small. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was amazing.

Excellent”

Excellent property with best of the luxury feel. Very well kept and clean room. The property has a very nice bar. They also have a Michelin star restaurant but we were not able to visit us. Thoughtful staff who made our stay memorable and went beyond the call of duty to help my wife celebrate my birthday. Thanks for the service.

It was the best breakfast ever, among many other delights. Try an egg fried by a Michelin starred chef...amazing...great place, lovely people, excellent setting to explore this beautiful city....

Decided to stay a couple extra days after a river cruise and this was recommended. Great location, great history and if you can eat at the attached restaurant it is excellent!

Un charme fou”

Ce séjour a été un cadeau inoubliable! Première immersion dès l'arrivée dans un couloir, plongé subtilement dans la pénombre, ... C'est la lumière naturelle qui nous conduit vers la magnifique cour intérieure et le patio. Décor dépaysant avec les arcades ... Un accueil très chaleureux et attentionné depuis notre arrivée à notre départ. Nous avons pu profiter du SPA grâce à son accès de 6h30 à minuit. La chambre a beaucoup de charme. Nous avons pu diner au café épicerie ... nous reviendrons au restaurant de la cour des loges. Le petit déjeuner, un délice. Notre séjour à la Cour des Loges était parfait... avec une dernière découverte le matin, des jardins suspendus et des ruches d'abeilles au 4ème étage. Une très belle surprise.

Un hôtel magnifique, mais vieillissant”

Le cadre est superbe, plein d'histoire, avec un charme certain mais l'infrastructure demande à être rénovée (nous avions une petite chambre en mezzanine, la peinture est écaillée par endroit, toilettes et interrupteurs qui ne sont pas de dernière génération). Une petite déception aussi au niveau du service (accueil et conciergerie déserts à notre arrivée, téléphone qui sonne dans le vide, toile d'araignée au-dessus de la baignoire, SPA non "rafraîchi": pas de savon dans les douches, piscine non nettoyée au sol, check out express sans vraiment d'intérêt de la part du récpionniste sur le bon déroulé de notre séjour). Dommage ... car l'hôtel est singulier et pourrait, avec ces actions correctives, être exceptionnel.

Une petite halte dans le vieux Lyon”

Merveilleuse ambiance. Décor féérique. Service parfait. Dommage que l'accès soit un peu compliqué, car l'accès est privé. Il vaut mieux téléphoner au concierge que se fier au GPS et perdre 1/2h. A part ça, le problème en passant par Agoda est que nous n'avons pas eu la possibilité de réserver au restaurant gastronomique. Le jour même, c'était trop tard. Heureusement que le petit déjeuner se prend dans le même cadre sous la verrière !
