Excellent staffs services, the hotel staffs ran towards our taxi across the small road when he saw us alighted... Room n toilet were clean, bathroom with bath tub... I must say it's one of the best hotel in TaiChung I have ever stayed. Actually, it's the third time I went to TaiChung, but this is the first time to came with my family members. I did lots of preparation job before I chose it and I found out 53 hotel have so many good comments, that's why I decide to have a try. I can swear, you won't regret if you stay in here and yo...

I can’t begin to express how amazing this hotel is. Literally everything is perfect and even the small things like the shower pressure was strong, beds are firm, toilets are super clean and modern, THE BREAKFAST WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING my parents and us LOVED IT and the carpark is super close by (few seconds walk) and the location is walking distance to bubble tea and n...

It was a very enjoyable stay at the Park City Hotel Central Taichung. The Hotel rooms were clean, modern, spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The toilet was very clean but it would be better if it has a shower room instead of a bathtub. The walls were soundproof too. The Breakfast provided by the hotel were great with a good variety of food, a very awesome sta...

I booked this hotel because it is a hot spring one in urban area in taichung. Staff are nice and helpful. Facilities are value for the money. The scenery of our room is great. Breakfast is normal with quite a lot of choices. The hotel is located at the hilltop, which is not quite convenient. You will expect to take taxi whenever you want to go out. (bus 99 is not freq...

It was a pleasant surprise for us to check-in to Aeris International Hotel at Taichung with our 2 young kids. The hotel is about 15 minutes away from HSR Station. The hotel has a classy ambience. I arrived 3 hours earlier than the check-in time, but the Concierge was so kind to arrange check-in for us 2 hours before time. That was such a relief for us to rest briefly b...

According to our cab driver, this is the newest hotel in Taichung feng Jia area. The staffs were friendly and nice (except for those working in the cafeteria, no smile!). Room was clean and well maintained (since its a new hotel). Breakfast served was simple but good. Hotel was a few mins walk away to feng Jia night market, along the way there are many eateries to have...

Although it was just a night stay with Splendor Hotel, it was a great experience. One of the 5 stars hotel in Taichung and reasonable pricing. The room was huge with 2 queen beds and a sofa set. Wifi initial was poor, but with the receiver kind of thing being fixed up in the room, the wifi speed was good. Breakfast was good with a variety of wide spreading to choose fr...

This was the nicest of all of the hotels we stayed in during our trip to Taiwan. The staff was super friendly and helpful! The rooms were big and very clean. Room had a safe which was nice too. They would also hold your bags if you were staying in the city after or before checkout which was nice. We also used the washer and dryers. They were great! It was super ...

First time staying at In One City Inn. Wasn't hard to find as the hotel is clearly labelled. Hotel is located 5mins away from the bustling and popular FengJia night market which is a must go for travellers to Taichung. Hotel bathrooms are mordernly furnished, clean and spacious. Hotel staff is helpful and prompt.

In my last visit to Taiwan I decided to drive to Taichung with my family for a short visit. Lacking of the Taichung hotel knowledge, I decide to go for Eva Airline's representative hotel- Eva Laurel, and it turned out to be perfect for my journey. It is located in the center where I wanted to visit in Taichung. And best of all, it provided a simple tourism map as the b...

I traveled to Taichung with my band to play a show and we picked this hotel because it was close to our performance venue and had zero expectations for the location. To our surprise, we found a great yakitori restaurant, lots of quaint coffee shops and food outlets in beautifully renovated houses.

Everything was great for this hotel, from the room to breakfast. Room and toilet were exceptionally huge and very clean! The facilities provided was amazing even though I did not use them all. Very clean and breakfast was great. Just that it wasn't near any station so travelling in Taichung might be a hassle as we have to keep taking cabs. Overall I'm really happy wit...

the hotel is located in the taichung city so it is convenient for ppl going out... there is convenient store opened 24 hours next door... lobby is bright and clean, service is excellent, you dont need to worry anything, they will fix if have any problem... the room is simple but big enough to stay and there is a balcony in the toilet even though cannot be opened but vi...

It was brilliant! The best hotel and value by far in all the hotels I have stayed in any part of the world. I can highly recemmond it to couples on honeymoon or the tired business man. The extras provided I.e panel button controlled edit all the electrics. Ceiling doe jets, complementary minibar with snacks. A huge bed with luxury bedding and soft pillows. Very spacio...

Location is good as it is quite centralised and it is really clean. The brekfast was quite great too. I actually left one of my stuffs in the room after checked out and only realised it when i was on the HSR to Taipei. I called them and they immediately offered to mail it back to my Taipei's hotel. I received it right the next day! The staffs' service is definitely wor...

Each stay, I’d request a different room to my favor. That is because for each floor of this boutique hotel, a well reputable interior designer was commissioned to partake on the design. Each room has it own unique design. For this stay, I arrived late and the friendly staff upgraded me into one of the room to my favor! Thrilled! (To the staff: Thanks guys!) So, I’d de...

I stayed in 7 hotels for 4 weeks across HK, Macau, Taipei and Taichung in this trip. 5 nights were with Tempus and I had nothing to complain. There are great 5-star facilities not so available in other hotels in Taichung. WIll definitely check in again in my next trip to Taichung.

Good accomodation & location near taichung station, very courteous and friendly staffs, breakfast are delicious! We have cancelled our booking 1 day prior to our 2nd day of accomodation because my mom got sick, so Agoda charged 50 % cancellation fee, then we have decided to reinstate it again because my mom got better, and they really helped us very well. Agoda and the...

location is perfect. Walking distance from the TRA and the intercity bus terminals. Bus stops going to different attractions in taichung like Fengjia and yizhong market are also walking distance from the hotel (one literally in front of the hotel). check-in and check out is a breeze since it is automated (first time I've tried it). Staff are friendly, can speak good En...

this hotel is located at the cbd. has a nice short walk to taichung park. very new hotel and facilities. room is very big and have a nice size jaccuzzi all to ourselves. had a fantastic 3 night stay. about 10 mins walk to the taichung tra to travel out. its located along the the main road of shops selling suncakes. 10 to 15 mins walk to yizhong market and miyahara

My family were pleasantly surprised with the hotel I've booked. The room is a good size for 4 of us. Nice deco and staffs are very friendly & helpful. My daughter forgot her stuff toy after we checked out. We only found out the night after we left Taichung. Called up the hotel & they managed to arrange for the toy tone sent to our hotel in Taipei. Thanks! Would recomme...

Excellent location where is less 5 mins walk to Fengchia Night Market and many other eateries nearby. New hotel and very clean, plus necessary toiletries are provided. The Receptionists were all very friendly, helpful and served with a smile. They provided us free upgrade for our bedroom. It was the best hotel we stayed during our Taiwan trip. Very good value for money...

great location. just at right side after u get out from taichung railway station. around hotel area, u can get alot of bus service provider which can bring u to any area near taichung. hotel is newly renovated. really worth for money. clean room and good fascility. if u planing to stay long here, can consider to bring lesser clothes cause u can watch ur clothes at the ...

Pros: -Room was very spacious and clean. Sofas and mattress were super comfortable. -excellent location. Lots of places to see within walking distance. Several convenience stores are nearby. Cons: -it's a weird design that the only sink is placed in the living room, not beside the toilet. So if you wish to wash your hands after doing your business you need to walk...
Cheap places to stay in Taichung

-Located within walking distance to traditional market for food and BRT (transit) -extremely friendly and helpful staff -affordable pricing for quality -spacious room though we got a room without a bathtub, the large bed was a great trade off -breakfast buffet included This is our second time at Kiwi Chenggong branch. Definitely our go to hotel in Taichung!

This hotel has so much to offer. The lobby's modern design is an eye catcher. The room is very spacious given its very cheap price. The contemporary designed bathroom is as spacious, I just love it. The TV Signals are great. WiFi is excellent. Has a working table. I just love everything here. It is very near the night market and a lot of spots. When you visit Taichung ...

Had a taiwan friend drive and ride to bring me around Taichung. it is a short drive from the high-speed railway, very near Feng Jia night market which is GREAT place to find EVERYTHING. The locals all gather there for supper and shopping too. Not to be missed.

The room was very tidy and clean. Lockers were provided inside the room. Room key supposed to slot near the lamp to have electricity for each bed allocated. Felt that's not user friendly as one cannot charge their portables and equipment if they were to go to the toilet as the room key is needed to go into the room. Overall is okay. It doesn't provide breakfast but sma...

The boss and front desk workers provided services in kind way. Well Introduce the facilities of hotel, provided gogoro in charge. There are just closed to the train station and so buses transportation. The huge spaced capsule that I have ever stayed. Thumb up!!

The hotel facilities were amazing. The women's dorms is a nice isolated room with 6 beds, very comfortable. The location is great, right next to the beautiful Taichung park and walking distance from really good restaurant too. Best of all is the staff, super kind and helpful in every way! Cheapest place I could find as well!

This is not the cheapest hotel and frankly, there may be better ones around. But i simply cant find any serious fault with this hotel. It is clean, reliable and in a great location, it is basically in the middle of most activity. Still need to travel by bus but there is expected in a non-metro city like Taichung.

Got bite by bed bugs...have informed to the owner and hope they have changed the bed. Room is very simple with limited socket for phone charging. Very cold at night( strong wind comes from window). My stay was winter. +cheap, worth for money -only two toilet, the water is either too hot(until it hurts me) or too cold (wait for few minutes for the hot water to come duri...

Very near from Taichung train station walking distance easy to find. Well management & clean rooms. The staff was very helpful to explain everything & allowed me to put baggage after check out. Highly recommend to all of backpackers who going to Taichung this cute hotel.

There was only 1 mixed room of about 30 beds, my neighbors were two men who snored a lot... you need to check if there is hot water before using the bathroom and if its not, you need to ask the staff (I once took bath with cold water cause it was too late to ask for hot water). The rest is fine, I like its lobby with brightness. Maybe if there is next time visiting Ta...

Hostel is easy to access from TaiChung airport, ard 30 mins bus. And also near the bus station towards centre. Staff are super nice and helpful here, it feels like a place like home more than just a place to sleep. A good place to know more people when travelling here, highly recommend.

First, there is nothing that indicates this hostel name in furface so very difficult to find. Then, when i entered this hostel that have another hotel`s name, the person over the desk said this is it, and he asked me to make a phone call to the owner that isn`t there. It was first time for me to be asked to make a phone call when checking in. I said i can because my ...

Best place during our trip to Taiwan ... Location are Perfect !!! Only 5 min to Fengchia Market and also bus stop. The room is same with the picture on web and clean, also spacious. My friend and I took some time locating the hostel from the bus stop we stopped at (you can take the BRT buses practically for free for up to 10 kilometers), but the staff we called was very friendly and patient in explaining the directions. It is near a huge open-air carpark and there is a small sign near the carpark entrance that indicated the hostel name, but you mi...

1. A very clean hostel. There is women's' only wing, and guys' only wings. The kitchen is very neat and tidy. Have 24H coffees, teas, juices, bicuits. I am impressed by the toilet. The way they hang the toothpaste is so creative. But some people might not have deep sleep, as there is a night club at the 12th floor. (the hostel is located at the 10th floor) 2. Staffs ...

It was a nice experience to stay here one night. It's so clean here and in female dorm, you can have semi-private shower room, which means you do not have to share it with male. For girl, it's excellent! Also the spacious public place to watch TV, play games and read some several translation novels. You won't feel regretful to choose here for your accommodation. 💕

The price is very reasonable. The place is about 15 minutes walk to the Fengcha night market, and yet the cost is only about 1/4 of a hotel closer to the Fengcha market. If you do not mind the extra 10 minutes walk time, this place offers an excellent value.

Prior to this trip, I was so hesitant to make a booking in a hostel due to couple of bad experiences I had staying at a hostel. But due to alot of outstanding reviews and comments about this hostel, I have made a risks of booking and I have never been resentful about that decision. The place was so pleasant, clean and peaceful. it is located at the west district of ...

Excellent location. Super near the Taichung train station which was great as I travelled a bit on the train to get to small towns in the countryside. Lots of bus stops nearby which allowed me to hop onto buses that took me to all the places I needed to get to in Taichung city. The first 10km of travel on the buses are free. Just tap with your Easycard. Loads of cheap ...

Great location at Fengjia night market is just below the premises. Please bear in mind there is one floor of stairs you need to climb before reaching the lift to the room. The air conditioner is very old and we feel very hot at night. Room cleanliness is still acceptable and I guess the affordable price compensate the stay.

This hotel is newly built at the time we arrived. There is no sign so you will need to contact the host when you arrive. The room is very well designed, super clean with new and modern facilities - which is a plus compared with general standard of 3-star hotels in Taichung. The young handsome host can speak decent English, and he really was helpful. Though the hotel do...

About 5 minutes walk from Taichung City Hall. New, Clean facility. Value for Money. Hot/cold water dispenser. Small Fridge. Big surprise is room comes with washing machine cum dryer. Lots of eateries at 西屯路 (about 10 mins walk north). Less than 20 mins bus ride to 逢甲夜市 (FengJia Night Market)

Very nice and affordable hotel in Taichung. This is my 2nd stay in this hotel. 3 minutes walking distance to a small night market where you can find all the nice street food along Zhongxiao Road. Have a 7-11 just beside the hotel and a new massage shop. Bus stop is just few shops away where you can take bus for free using Easycard (yoyo card) within 10km in Taichung. ...

This is not the first time I am staying at this hotel and whenever, I am at Taichung, I prefer staying at 'Taichung Harbor Hotel'. I would like to share my experience wherein after checking out from the hotel, I realized that my mobile was left in the taxi. With great and timely assistance of the hotel staff, I got my mobile back in one hour, wherein they traced the t...

If you like cool modern decor - this hotel is for you! Attention to details both in the room itself and in the public ares (lobby, breakfast room) is truly remarkable. The breakfast was good and beautifully presented. The stuff in the lobby is extremely helpful and the giant slide was the highlight of the whole Taiwan trip for our 3y old. The only problem is that the s...

This is one of my favorite hotels in Taichung. The room was spacious and comfortable, although the decor was a bit old. The buffet breakfast is excellent. What I liked most was the rooftop gym, pool and spa -- a really nice place to relax and soak in city views, plus there were very few people using the place.

i recently enjoyed a weekend stay in this brand new hotel after staying in a sister hotel in downtown taipei. the rooms in taichung are larger, very stylish with different themes on many of the floors. mine was a sports theme and it made the stay even more interesting. excellent facilities in the hotel and room, including laundry facilities, a super rain shower, toi...

Location is good and close to Fengjia night market and Taichung station, but same name hotel "Inhouse hotel" is very close, so it cause taxi driver's confusion. I recommend to change Chinse hotel name. Or it can keep cause big confusion. Workers are very kind and profession. They arranged taxi service from hotel to airport and it is cheap and convenient. However, hotel...

Wow, i don't really know where to start, but in awe at the service quality that GoGo Hotel provided us during our two stay. (e.g. automatic toilet bowl, touchscreen toilet lighting mirror). They also provided an awesome spr...

When we arrived very late around 9pm at the hotel, the hotel staff was still waiting to welcoming us. Surprisingly, they even prepared some mini toys for the children as gift. My two little ones were very happy. Packed snacks (such as biscuits) were available for 24Hrs at the hall of level 1. The room was quite clean and we slept quite well. All in all, it is a good ho...

I stayed in 7 hotels for 4 weeks across HK, Macau, Taipei and Taichung in this trip. 5 nights were with Tempus and I had nothing to complain. There are great 5-star facilities not so available in other hotels in Taichung. WIll definitely check in again in my next trip to Taichung.

nice staff, country side location with fruit trees surrounded in the area, spacious clean rooms and comfortable beds, excellent private and public onsen, good buffet breakfast and dinner, about 400 Taiwan dollars for a taxi to Taichung downtown, our second stay here and will come back again.

We had a nice experience gor a 2-day stay in this hotel. The room is spacious and clean. We have a baby so hotel offered us a banycot and bath tub which helps us a lot. Though the location is not that convenient, it is still our choice when come next time.

The hotel has a Balinese motif that is nicely executed if not 100% Bali. Our room had a really spacious bath, twice as large as the bedroom with two tubs, one hot and one cold. The hot tub is about 4 sq.m.--wonderful for stretching and relaxing. The sleeping area is clean and spacious enough. We had to ask for bathrobes but got them promptly. The included breakfast was...

Real reviews for hotels
The city is improving in buildings, entertainment and food. Nice scenic area in Taichung region and surrounding, good for day trips.
Awesome place to visit, with lots of awesome food. Stuff here are generally cheaper than taipei. Night market offers more variety and better food compared to taipei.
Taichung is modern yet does not feel like a stressful, buzzing city. The people are really nice and helpful, and you won't have any trouble finding sincere cab drivers who are not out to make extra money from you.
easy to travel from Taipei city. just take the HSR and you can reach there by an hour. People are very friendly and warm.
It is recommended to stay near to the train station. Fengchia night market is a must-visit place. One can also visit the Rainbow village and Gao Mei Shi Di.
The people here i meat all very friendly and helpful. They also like to give compliment. The restaurant staff can give very good customer service, friendly.
People are helpful when you asked them where you like to visit and they show you the way. Even they do not know, they google for me.
People are very nice when we asked the location that we would like to go, even they cannot show us the direction, they google the place to us and indicate us how to go.
it is a very lively city with a lot of interesting place for me to explore. Will come back for my 3rd visit.
A famous city of Taiwan. Lots of outdoor activities you can do in Taichung. A nice place for relax.
Nothing much in Taichung. Even the locals feel that there's nothing much to do there. Traveling around Taichung is inconvenient as there's no metro available.
A very "user friendly" city that is increasingly catering for the tourist trade with multi-lingual menus etc
Simple city similar to Taipei but less advanced. But is because of this, the city do have quite a few rural areas worth visiting.
Sun biscuits. Must visit Kwan Ti temple with huge Kwan Ti statute as well as Mazu temple about 5mins walk from Kwan Ti temple.
Taichung is a shopping paradise with the biggest night market in Taiwan. It is pretty easy to access the different areas via their public transportation.
Loved the lavender farm, but it is a really far drive from the city area. Enjoyed the spacious city, with old buildings and food can be found almost everywhere.
This place only have famous place Fengjia night market and Miyahara ice cream. I think many peaople go there only transit to go to Nantou City (sun moon lake, Cengjing farm etc)
Cingjing and SML is near Taichung. Hence, it will be good if you can visit these 2 areas as well for sightseeing and relaxation! Taichung night market are nice.
Taichung is a very busy area; more so than Taipei. Considering the transport methods, it's not as organized and convenient as Taipei for a non-Chinese/Taiwanese speaker.
Taichung is building their metro system, the road is bad, the taxi is bad services too, so wait until the metro built then will be good to go again.
There is only one night market that worth going in the evening. Shopping centres are just fine. Not much historical place of interest and therefore not worth to stay long in the city.
Suggested to take Public Transport instead of Car/Van rental for Solo travelers , May get the "YouYou" Card at 7-11 and topup the credit, TWD100 is enough for 3day 2 night as the Public Transport (BUS) is FOC for the first 8KM travel.
