"Enjoyed our one night stay. Staff were excellent and very friendly. Location was also very good, short walk to everything in Bayonne. Some of the decor and furnishings are a little run down and old but not a big deal. Nice breakfast with lots of choices. "

"I wish I could have stayed longer. The hotel is right on the banks of the river with a swimming pool over looking it. I walked around both Grand Bayonne and Petit Bayonne, both quarters still backed by medieval walls. The houses lining the river are examples of Basque architecture, with half-timbering and shutters in the national colours of red and green. There is a surprising museum dedicated to the local artist Leon Bonnat but it also houses painting by Botticelli; Degas; Goya and many more of the greats - despite the array of restaurants and bars in Bayonne I ate back in the hotel and it was a good choice. "The hotel has a really good location in the city center of Bayonne. The room was really spacious and I had a lovely view of the bridge and the river. The breakfast was sufficient, and the staff was really nice enough to let me get some food a few minutes before breakfast closed. It was a bit sad though that there was a huge construction outside of the property which made the location very dusty. When I arrived, the front desk was unattended and so I had to wait for the staff to come back. But it was all good in the end. The front desk staff also called a taxi to take me to the airport quickly and with no problem. Overall, I was really happy with my stay here, and really enjoyed the space of the rooms. I would still stay at this hotel and would be happy to recommend it to friends."
