We had 2 nights in Bayonne the highlight was the visit to the pilgrimage starting point Pied du Port in the Pyrenees, Basque country. The Hotel had a good bed and once I had fixed the shower screen, a good shower.
Unfortunately the reception was on the other side of the river and this was not made clear on Agoda hence we arrived to a locked building and only by the kindness of a student manager who spoke English were we able to contact reception and get into our room.
