"This hotel is in the middle of the flower district so it was pleasant each day walking past flowers and palm trees. There is a subway stop at the end of each corner of the block. The only drawback was one of the reasons I booked this hotel instead of others is because of the rooftop bar. This was closed the entire week we were there. I was told the rooftop bar is operated separately from the hotel so they had no control over it. "

"Although the rooms were smaller than I expected, it was sufficient for me and my 2 children (teenagers). The bed was super comfy and they had a good range of pillows (firm and soft) on the bed. According to their room guide, you can ask for other types of pillows if you didn't like those on the bed (foam maybe?). The heater/aircon in the room worked really well. And the view of the rooftops from the window was picturesque, especially after snow fall. The bathroom was compact but complete. Hot water worked well and the water pressure was good. Their hair dryer (mounted on true wall) was good too. My only point of improvement for the Holiday Inn would be their restaurant/coffee shop. The one time we ate there (9am), they closed the kitchen and didn't tell us that our last order wasn't placed (because of the closed kitchen). So we were waiting for nothing. The food quality though was excellent. The pancakes fluffy and the French toast perfect. The bacon was perfection. "

"We had a great long weekend in New York at The Cambria Chelsea - for first time visitors to New York from England and Canada it was a perfect central location - with an easy walk to all the attractions and sights but just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Times Square. The roof top lounge had amazing views both in the day and night and all staff were very helpful and friendly indeed. The beds were very comfortable after a long day of sightseeing. The bathroom was a little tight but certainly adequate for the four of us to use. I would definitely recommend The Cambria Chelsea as a place to stay whilst in NYC for comfort, location and value for money. "
