Pleasant time”

Location, cleanliness, view

We had a pleasant stay in Lyon. The apartment was well located not far from the Hotel de Ville and Opera while also being close to the shopping precinct leading to Place Bellecour. It was a short walk to Vieux Lyon where we had access to various culinary specialities. The apartment was situated on the 5th level which provided a nice view. The deluxe apartment could have had a bit more room for suitcases but we made do with what we had. Also we didn't realise no one would come to clean our room on the Sunday of our stay (no advance warning of this) so come Sunday night when we arrived back from our day out we found we had no clean towels. A bit annoying in light of our Monday lunchtime departure which meant no shower since Sunday morning. The wifi was also not great. Very slow and kept being only 1 bar of reception. Pages would simply not laid or time out. Annoying for trying to do research for things to do in the area. Otherwise a good stay.

great location, service

This is a cross between a hotel and apartment. Has microwave oven and some plates and utensils - but really a very nice hotel room. No reception - staff come and meet you and let you in. Great location for old town of Lyon. Very helpful staff. Great for a couple though we booked for our daughter to use the couch - whch she did but it not really a bed - but a hard leather couch so we had to get sheets etc to soften bed. But no complaints. It really is for two people - no door on bathroom - no big deal. Great location, perhaps a bit upmarket with daily servicing - but I guess you have to pay up for central Lyon.
