7th - Tour Eiffel - Invalides hotels & places to stay

I stayed at Hotel Eiffel Turenne for 2D1N. Got a discounted rate for a Classic Double Room via Agoda. The hotel is spick and span - very clean and the service, top notch. Friendly and helpful front desk officer. This hotel is very close to the École Militaire metro station (line 8) and the Eiffel Tower (15-minute walk). There are also many restaurants just around the corner. To get to your room, you can take either the spiral staircase or the elevator. The room, although small, has enough space for your bags and for you to walk. There's a cupboard with an extra pillow and an electronic safety box - a shower stall in the bathroom - and a hair-dryer. Room is furnished with a flat screen TV - all programs in French, of course except for BBC and CNN . I'm sure once you're in Paris, watching TV is the last thing you want to do. Continental breakfast is available at €10 per person.

It was perfect for our first visit to Paris since we are lucky to get the upgraded room with Eiffel towel view. We stayed comfortable 3 nights here, very convenient located hotel,in general we found the hotel to be very reasonably priced for it’s quality and location, just a few minutes walk to the metro station and easy to find as well. 10 minutes walk to Eiffel Tower, many different restaurants beside the hotel and supermarket, perfect hotel to stay in if you are looking somewhere to stay near the Eiffel Tower. Staff were all very friendly,helpful, patient and generous with their time, as were the other personnel that we encountered. Our room was magnificent, clean and comfortable(bed). A spacious bathroom with bathtub and shower was a great plus. Fully equipped with mini bar, coffee tea maker, free wifi, etc. Oh, we got the slippers also!(we booked many hotels in Europe to stay for one month to visit and the hotel here are the only they have provide slippers )our last visited is Paris and also is the best one for us :)

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was a 'garden view' room but I wouldn't really call that a garden. It was very parisien though, looking out into a shared courtyard of all the buildings backing onto one another. Being able to open the windows in a hotel room is always great and these were lovely big windows. The room had been recently renovated and was lovely. A really comfortable bed and rainfall shower made it a lovely place to come back to after a long day. There is a breakfast available but we never utilised it as there are a number of cafes nearby. The location, next to Hotel des Invalides, is pretty good for those looking to do tourist stuff. We walked to Le Tour Eiffel and even to the Champs Elysees but my friend and I don't mind distance. It's very close to two metro stations and the RER is also walking distance. My only qualm is that the metro line it is one is not one of the better ones so sometimes we had to make roundabout journeys to get where we were going to avoid multiple changes. I'm not sure this would trouble those wanting to do the main tourist things though as most of those are very close. I read some reviews and a few people mentioned noise in the rooms. I did hear things from time to time but it wasn't too much for me. I always travel with earplugs anyway as it is not surprising to have noise with so many people living in close proximity. I recommend this hotel, it ticks the boxes for tourists and has reliable internet too! The rooms are lovely and location is good for 'the sights'.

Excellent time in Paris staying at the Hotel Tour Eiffel. Very central to all the tourist attractions, and only a 5 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. You can see the Eiffel Tower from many nearby restaurants as well. Room was clean and nice, small but it is Paris! Had asked for a high room with a view of the tower, did not get this but the hotel was booked out and we arrived mid-evening. There is an elevator, but it barely fits two people into it so don't expect to be able to take all of your bags up at once - or use the stairs as training to climb the Eiffel Tower! No air conditioning in the rooms, but you can open the windows at night and sleep with them open - just make sure to lock during the day. The rooms are noisy due to people stomping up and down the stairs, but we were there during the Tour de France when it was booked out and this is not the hotel's fault just rude guests.

We checked in for 2 nights at 7 am and were welcomed by the most genuine and warm gentleman at the receptionist. the hotel is walking distance from subway and 15 mins walk to eiffel tower. the hotel has 4 storey with 4 rooms each. Is quite a small room, i do not suggest big luggages but the room has the basic necessities. Be warn the hotel has no lift, so travel light! Although hotel is small but it is well designed and every corner is art and serve a purpose. It does not feel claustrophobic at all. We wanted a quiet room so they gave us 4th floor with window facing the street. Bed was Queen size but hey we came as couple and temperature is cold :). Sheets are clean and no chlorine smell (very important for me). Bathroom is clean and small, the sink has a little issue. Everything else is fine. Breakfast was awesome and feels like eating at a 5 star hotel. You can enjoy this with additional EUR15/pax + vat payable in cash when checking out. They served at least 3 types of meats, 3 types of cheese, breads, cereals, fresh fruits, jams, fruit juice and even coffee machine is at your disposal. I would really love to come back to this hotel if i come to Paris again.

The hotel is four level, and consists of 27 rooms only (if I don't remember wrong). Most of time it's fully booked. Having that in our mind, we went straight from airport n arrived 8am at the hotel without much hope for a room at that hour. As expected, we had to wait for room to be vacant. However, as we arrived, without saying a word, the duty staff at reception already called my name, which made us feel welcoming. He was helpful through our stay. He recommends restaurants, provides directions n advice whenever needed. Overalls it's a cozy hotel located in the center of city, accessible to all major attractions. We enjoyed walking from the hotel to the Seine river, to the Effeil tour, to the Louvre and, to avenue des Champs Élysées, all within walking distance. Definitely recommend it - hotel de l'universite.

Hotel du Palais Bourbon is in a great location right by the Musee Rodin and very close to Musee D'Orsay and Eiffel Tower. The family rooms are a clever set up, one main room with a side small room with 2 single beds. We used this for a group stay so that people can sleep undisturbed in the small room while the main room was used for the "awake" room and that worked well.

I loved this hotel! It is very close to the metro (less than 5 minutes walk) and is easily accessible to major attractions- whether you enjoy walking like myself, or want to use public transportation. The apartments are clean and have ample space. And considering what other hotels charge in the area, I think this is a great deal. The decor was clean and inviting, and the owner was also so kind and helpful to me and my family. I honestly have nothing bad to say about this hotel. I will definitely stay here the next time I'm in Paris.

The good thing about the hotel is location. It is near the Eiffel Tower but the Tower is only visible from top floor rooms as those only have a small balcony attached. We booked through Agoda and were given possibly the worst room in the hotel. There was no ventilation in the room and bathroom. We were provided 1 blanket which was not clean and had blood stains on it, when complained it was changed and we were given another blanket full of dust. Bathroom was cramped for space and it felt you are standing on the toilet seat while using the basin. Next day we wanted to shift to a better room and the hotel was kind enough to let us switch. The other room was on top floor and had a balcony from where we could see the Eiffel tower and had some ventilation. The Breakfast was normal having options from the predefined list(didn’t provide anything out of the list). The front desk was helpful but it seems the hotel needs some changes which the management is not ready to invest in.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Hotel De La Motte Picquet. The location is superb as it is located next to Rue Cler which is a street full of cafes. Furthermore, the hotel is easily accessible as it is near to Metro line 8 Ecole Militaire which is very convenient. The hotel is located very near to Eiffel Tower and is 20 mins walking distance to Champs-Elysee shopping district. The staff is very friendly and i highly recommend this hotel. Thumbs up!

Had an great time. Mr. Ghani from the hotel arranged for our Airport pickup. Was a great relief after a super tiring long flight. Quite cheap compared to taxi fares. Very helpful staff. "Eiffel tower" is only 5-6 minutes walk. Nearest metro station "Ecole militaire" is about 8-10 minutes walk. Get a "Normal ticket" (that is what you need to ask for at the counter) and you can travel to any part of the city. There are several shops and restaurants around the hotel. Try the "coffe shop" near the hotel (come out of the hotel, take the first right turn towards the main road, take the first right turn on the main road and you should see the board saying "Coffe Shop". Great coffe and also value for money. Breakfast is not included but you can ask for it at the counter. Rooms are a bit small but that's standard across Europe. I used a mifi device from http://my-webspot.com/ which works across Eurpoe. This is a must have. You won't regret your stay here. That's for sure.

the staff were very friendly. the room was always made each day and the best part waa that the hotel was just a walking distance away from rue cler where we can have good bread and fruits for breakfast and then a few minutes walk away from the eiffel tower, pont alexander, louvre and most major attractions. we're definitely staying at Hotel Beaugency again on our next visit in Paris!

This hotel is located in walking distance to tower Eiffel and street lue clair where has a lot of great cafe and restaurants. There is Starbucks right across the hotel and I feel safe at the middle of the night. Plus staff Guilliume is very helpful and kind. Hotel is small but has everything we need for staying short night. Bad points.. It doesn't have elevator so it was hard to carry luggage to upstairs. Breakfast costs 13 euros.(kinda expensive for breakfast) Hotel has no sign so it was hard to find for the first time. Overall, I'd like to stay here again when visiting Paris.

Just as the name suggests the location close to Eiffel Tower, Les Invalides and Ecole militaire as well as two metro stations within a five minute walk, let alone one of the best street markets in Paris, this hotel is well located. Staff are welcoming, caring and likeable. Rooms, especially bathrooms are very good, breakfasts excellent. Lift to all floors is spacious. What have I missed? I would stay there any time I am in Paris.

Nice small hotel in an attractive building in a pretty street in St Germain de Pres. The room was comfortable but small. A five-minute walk to a metro station. Several small good restaurants nearby and an excellent bakery for breakfast. I have stayed here every November during my annual business trip to Paris. On this trip I found that the water in my room was not really hot - it was only warm and with the temperature outside below 5° I would expect hot water. I must clarify that I never had this problem in previous years staying at this hotel. My room this time was on the 6th floor at the very top of the hotel and if that was the problem then I would recommend staying on lower floors. However the most serious problem for me with this 2013 stay at the Hotel de Suede is that they have now changed their wireless Internet provider and the new provider does not allow sending and receiving of emails through POP3 and SMTP. This means that guests using Outlook (or any other email client) cannot send or receive emails while staying at this hotel. (If you only use webmail then that would not be a problem). As I was on a business trip, this was a serious inconvenience. For this reason alone, I will be unable to use this hotel again. There is a very good, small, inexpensive restaurant at the nearest intersection called "Au Pied de Fouet". The restaurant is quite famous and sometimes you may need to wait outside for a table.

The hotel is right at the vibrant Rue Cler. It’s only 5 minutes walk to a metro bus/ subway station, 13 minutes walk to Eiffel Tower. You cannot get a better location to stay in Paris. The staff is friendly. One major draw back, right after the check-in is finding that the only elevator in the hotel, can only carry one person with a luggage. You can squeeze 2 persons without a luggage. It became a major problem on the last day, when we were trying to checkout, 7am, early in the morning. We needed to catch a 10am flight from Paris to LA. We were in the 4th floor, trying to get the elevator to carry our luggages. But, for almost 15 minutes, the elevator was being used by the people on the floors bellow us. It doesn’t matter if we pressed the button first, it’ll go to floor closest to the ground floor. We almost couldn’t check out in time to catch the waiting van that will take us, a family of 4 adults to the airport. So, if you have big luggages, this may present a big problem.

Great experience i had, both restaurants in the hotel are insanely great. The neighborhood is rather safe comparing with many places in Paris. The only problem is they have no desks in room so business travelers or those who wanna play with laptop would be quite troublesome. No elevator in the hotel, but the service would bring the luggage to your room. The whole area has great restaurants besides their own, and only 10 mins walk to where Obama had his dinner at. Close enough to Invalides and Tour Eiffel, and especially Metro station is just 5 mins walk.

We really liked this hotel. It was a short walk to the Louvre and and other attractions, the staff was great and always available, the room was bigger than I expected and well appointed. The only issue we had was that it was really hot in Paris while we were there and the room was hot most of the time because there was no air conditioning (which is common in Europe). There was a fan, but it didn't help much. I wish they had some sort portable air conditioner or bigger fan available. I would still recommend this hotel though.

This was our first trip to Paris, and we could not have chosen better. I did some reading ahead of time as to where to stay. In the end we went with our gut instinct and chose to stay in this district and stay at the Academie Hotel Saint German. What a wonderful choice we made. Patricia made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived to the date that we left. She was so helpful throughout our staying, going out of her way to find sites for us to visit and to assist us with booking the train for the next leg of our journey. We had a cute little room. The ambience of the room and the hotel itself provided us with the true French experience. The hotel is close to every site a visitor would want to see and, of course, the best of the best when it comes to shopping!!! The room was lovely and modern & central to most tourist spots. We walked to all our favourite spots without the need for public transport. We were 2 single solo travelers and bathroom privacy was an issue, as it doesn't have a door only a sheer curtain! No lounge to relax on 2 small footstools to sit around on to reax on! Can not comment on breakfast as it wasn't included. Hotel reception & surrounings were tastefully decorated. Rooftop area was nice, no views of The Eiffel Tower though! There isn't actually a bar on the rooftop however you order then the waiter brings it up! It was my birthday and I was planning drinks with a view there, but celebrated it closer to the Tower in another venue! Overall I liked this hotel & I woulld stay again if I get the pleasure to return to Paris again!
