"As a solo traveler - and a first time traveler at that - I was really anxious about my visit overall. Within 4 hours of being at the hostel though - I was instantly welcomed by a friendly staff and people who were inviting. The hostel is also located super close to the metro - allowing me to get to where I want to go with ease. While the place itself was nice, the best part of St. Christophers Canal Hostel was the amazing staff. Hope to visit again really soon and make valuable friendships. "

"The hotel is as you would expect, clean rooms, two double beds per room and private bathroom. Breakfast is a variety of pastries, cold cooked meats, cheese, fruit and muesli. A 10 minute metro ride will get you to all the Paris tourist attractions with the Porte de Pantin metro station less than a minutes walk from the hotel. Across the road is the Paris Philharmonie and La Villette park and gardens. The Bassin de laVillette and Canal Saint-Martin are in the park and during July and August the banks of these canals are turned into seaside resorts with sand, roped off swimming areas and pop up bars and ice-cream vendors. This was a very pleasant surprise when we went for a walk on our first night there. There are also 2 cinemas and cafes along the canals and a couple of reasonably priced cafes and restaurants next to the hotel. "
