"i would have to say that this hotel is a value for money because we have a good stay in this hotel the only problem i think is the location of the hotel its quite a long walk to the subway, and you also have to walk from the hotel lobby going to the main street i mean it quite a long walk for us to get there if your travelling with luggage its quite difficult for you to do so. with their staff i like those girls from the bar because almost everyday we ask for glass and ice cubes they are very helpful and quite funny too, we just had a problem on our last day because we provided our ticket for breakfast and it was really confusing that the lady forgot she took our ticket and ask me and my husband to go on the other side of restaurant because we were not in a big group, we almost gave up on her i asked my husband to let it go and just proceed to check out without having breakfast and my husband insisted good thing after looking at our receipt she allowed us to have our breakfast. goshh"

"This is a very good hotel. The location is unbeatable. only 3 minutes walk from metro station. The hotel room is small but very clean. The staffs cleaned my room everyday and super clean!!! I enjoyed my stay here. The staffs were very helpful. Free wifi is superb also (as one of my friend he stayed next door in Hotel Victor he needed to pay for the wifi every minute he used!!) Only one thing was, during my stay it's a bit noisy as i stayed on 2nd floor, I awoke in the night everytime when someone walked on the stairs. But it's acceptable, as I am not paying a 5 star hotel price!! Definiately I will stay here again if I come back to Paris :]"

Hotel Camelia International

"It was brilliant. Mr. Habib(receptionist) was very very helpful, he gives you a warm welcome and he's very very friendly, most of them are but I'm giving the credits most to Mr.habib. The room is clean. I've stayed there for 6 days and each time I come back to the room, the room is always clean and new sets of towels are changed. There's only one thing bad about this hotel is that, my room didn't have wifi. I live in the 6th floor. Not sure about other floors but I guess there isn't wifi in the room. Only at the lobby. Which doesn't really bother me. Location is great. One min away from place de clichy metro. And from there u could get to anywhere. Just buy a one week pass ticket for metro and you could travel anywhere. Overall, I would come back to camelia international and stay again. It's worth the price. Cheap affordable and simple. U don't need to come to Paris for a holiday and stay in a expensive fancy hotel because you'll usually be outside exploring. I'm a girl, I went to Paris alone and yeap, I survived the hotel. So why can't u? :) "

"the royal magda etoile hotel is a relatively small, but cosy hotel close to the arc de triomphe and the subway. upon entry you will be welcomed by friendly staff who speak english and are willing to answer every inquiry during your stay. the stairs are a bit steep, but there is a small lift available. the rooms are small (we stayed in a club room) but very cosy and clean. every day our room was cleaned. the breakfast room is nicely decorated and offers french breakfast with fresh juice, coffee and cereals. we stayed at the magda etoile for 7 nights and really enjoyed this cosy, clean hotel with friendly staff and great service. we highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return here for our next visit to paris."

"Really good location, very close to many directions of the metro and RER. Friendly staff. We couldn't find a better hotel in the historical, touristic heart of Paris so close to Arc de Triomph. There is a little food shop next to the hotel, what is not very common for champs elysees. We strongly recommend this hotel"

"It was a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. The view is good and traffic is slow. We could see the Arc de Triomphe from our room and the Eiffel Tower. Checking in was a breeze and the staff are very nice and patient in explaining to us where and how we can plan our visits. The food are tasty and good. This hotel leaves us an enjoyable and memorable impression."

More about 17th - Arc de Triomphe - Palais des Congres

The south-western end of the arrondissement is mainly known as a midrange to high-end shopping district named Wagram-Ternes. Large boulevards and traditional architecture gives it an elegant feel. Meanwhile, the north-eastern end – Batignolles – is very different with lots of bohemian bars and bistros bustling with local hipsters. Boulevard des Batignolles has an array of interesting shops and markets and is very well connected to the nearby transport facilities like the stations of Villers, Rome, Place de Clichy and Blanche.

The commercial district gives way to leafy calm avenues towards the outer reaches. Many luxurious townhouses along the avenues of the upper-class neighborhoods, with small hidden parks and squares are scattered throughout. One of Paris's best kept secrets, Monceau Park is perhaps the most noble and sophisticated park in the city. A centre of green in the middle of cosmopolitan Paris, the park is ideal for walks or picnics.

The arrondissement also hosts the Palais des Congrès of Paris: a large exhibition center with the largest hotel in the city: the Concorde Lafayette. The area offers a variety of eateries, and is known for having some of the finest Algerian cuisine in Paris.
