For a 3 star hotel it was worth all the money spent. The staff was extemely helpful and could speak in English. The room was quite small but convenient the bed and pillows were comfortable and clean. The bath -shower was good size and water with good pressure and temperature they only mishap is the washhand basin it is ridiculously small and they had enough room to fit a larger one. The towels were always changed to clean ones but I would have preferred to have white towels and not grey. Rooms are not airconditioned but if you open the window it's enough. A small tip, would be great if you take a travelling kettle. The location is safe to walk even at night and walking distance from 2 main Metro station, Voltaire station - green line No9 and Bastille Metro - yellow lines No1 from these lines you can go anywhere in Paris in no time. Another tip while you are in Paris near the tourist attractions young girls will come to you with a petition form to fill in, for the needs of the deaf people. It is a scam and a rip off. Ignore they are only after your money as soon as you sign they ask you for a €10 donation and it will not be easy to tell them off once you sign. On the whole we loved it and we will definitely go again. Hope this helps for an unforgettable stay in Paris.

We chose Le 20 Prieure because of its location and price - and we were very pleased to find what a nice place it was to stay. Handy to a number of metro stops and a short walk to the Bastille markets, Republique and the fantastic Rue Bretagne in the western part of the Marais - we were delighted with our choice. The room was clean, and cleaned well each day - bathroom was not large, but was well equipped, functional and again, very clean. The young staff were helpful, engaging and attentive when we sought their assistance - English/French - equally helpful in both. Will definitely seek to stay there again on our next short stay trip to Paris.

My stay at Hotel Marais Bastille was nearly perfect. This hotel has a modern and somewhat minimal aesthetic that I enjoy. The location is excellent, situated on the edge of Le Marais and near at least four different subway lines that will take you anywhere in the city. The staff were always friendly and provided great service. I also appreciated the email from the hotel about a week before my stay, which asked me to fill out a short questionnaire of my preferences and requests. I requested and was given a double room just like the photos, with a small terrace overlooking the boulevard. I arrived early, thanks to a morning flight, but I was allowed to check in around 2:15pm when my room was ready. The room was larger than most Paris hotel rooms at this price, and it was cleaned very well every day of my stay. The bed was too firm for my taste, but I know everyone has different preferences on that. I appreciated the mini-fridge that was empty so I could fill it with my own food and drink

This is excellent value for Paris. Rooms while not spacious (but bigger than a lot in Paris) are well fitted and beds very comfortable. Loved kettle in room and 24 hour free hot drinks in the lobby. The hotel is near the Republique metro so easy access to other parts of Paris but it is a less touristic neighbourhood and as a result there are some fabulous restaurants nearby offering the best of french food at a much more competitive price as the bulk of their clientele are local. Highly recommend Picotte opposite and Chez Imogene for crepes round the corner (lunch menu with drinks and gallette and desert crepe only 11 euros).

I like the location here, it's near Bastille and it has local market every week. You can reach there in 10 minutes walk. We stayed at 4/F and carrying a heavy luggage... LOL It killed us when we have to take them up and down again haha. But anyway, it's quite cheap and including breakfast. The breakfast is so so, but the room is quite safe. Only 3 shower rooms at my floor, so it needs to wait sometimes. And no shower after 11pm (which is good to avoid the noise). The staffs are nice and helpful. Overall it's acceptable for a short stay.

My boyfriend and I visited Paris for the first time and were recommended to stay in the 11th Arrondissement and came upon New Hotel Le Voltaire. We were so happy with our stay. The staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We got to the hotel very early and couldn't check in until 2 but they let us freshen up and leave our bags with them so we could start exploring Paris. Our room was so cozy and had everything we needed. It was also in a very convenient location - right near the Metro and all the restaurants we wanted to check out. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will hopefully stay there again on our next trip to Paris!

Really really lovely. Would definitely recommend it to a friend. The rooms where quite small and so was the shower but the price was amazing. The rooms get very hot at night but we didn't mind it so much. The is some street noise but it's what to be expected anywhere in Paris. The hotel was close to some restaurants which where really good price and there was also so many bakery's and small supermarkets too all in walking distance. The staff members at the hotel where lovely and really helpful. Everyday we came back to our room and the floors where hoovered and the bed was made and fresh towels where hanging up. Overall we really really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again and would defiantly stay in the hotel Leonard de Vinci I.

Pros: The location - 1/2 block from Goncourt metro and less than 10 minute walk to Republique can’t be beat. Many Restaurants and groceries nearby. The Hotel is lovely with rooms that remind me of a high end cruise ship cabin. Comfortable bed, great a/c, super shower. 2 cold waters or sodas provided daily. The 24 hour Desk Staff couldn’t be nicer! Very friendly & helpful! Possible Cons: The rooms are small by U.S. standards ( but very nicely appointed with good storage). Loud neighbors & door closing noise could be better muffled.

Traffic is convenient for walking 5 minutes from Republique station , 5 subway lines pass by and there is a square, 3 minutes from Oberkampf station. And if you jog on morning or take a walk along the Canal Saint Martin next to the hotel, you can see the perfect view and feel refreshed. The bathroom is clean and spacious, and the room cleaning service was satisfactory, too. The room is not big and the shower door should be used inside closed, but it should be noted that this applies to rooms in all Paris. The front desk, they tried their best to help me and were very kind, even though i had to bothered them with many things after check-out. I don't know if other hotels do either, but you should know that there are no refrigerators and a such bright bulb.

The staff and management were wonderful, warmly welcoming us to Paris. From the moment we arrived they made our stay a memorable one! They invited us to a free breakfast upon our arrival to help us with our jet lag and let us check in early which we greatly appreciated. In the evenings they offered complimentary happy hour which was welcome after a full day of touring the city. They provided a map and list of good local restaurants upon arrival which was very helpful especially our first evening. To our delight, the staff even surprised us with a bottle of wine and box of chocolates for my birthday while we were enjoying their happy hour. Convenient location close to metro, nice restaurants and within walking distance of Marais. Quiet, well appointed room, nice breakfast were refreshing. Most friendliest and helpful hotel staff ever! Would definitely stay here again.

Very good value hotel. Everything you would expect from a 3 star hotel all done exceptionally well. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, rooms were very clean and the breakfast (while it was a basic continental offering) was very fresh and good quality. Location was in a fairly quiet area a short walk from the metro and close to supermarkets, patisseries etc

The hotel is well located near a Metro and Velib station and is easily walkable down to the Bastille (great market on Sunday). The room was small but perfectly formed, with three beds and a tv, and mini kitchenette. Bring some plastic cups for a picnic though and a corkscrew! The grounds are LOVELY and the courtyard is peaceful and pretty. I think that the main part of the hotel is very well designed but please note that this doesnt carry through to the rooms. A great little place. Supermarket and very nice bistros nearby.

I would defiantely recommend this hotel to young couples or friends looking for a slice of local Paris life. It's situated in the 11th district (The Bastille) which is a lively area with loads of bars, restaurants and shops. It's about a 20 minute walk to the Pompidieu centre and the Bastille Metro stop is couple of minutes walk away. The rooms are small but comfortable.

Generally we really loved the hotel! It was close to the Republique and the Marais and 5 min. walk from a metro station. The hotel condition was great, it looked very nice, although the room was small, it didn't bother us at all. Having an airconditioning at July was a great advantage. Breakfast was very simple but overall nice, the baguet and croissant weren't that fresh. The hotel staff were very nice, quiet and helpful. There were 2 things we didn't like that much though: The Saint Louis blvd. is not very nice at night with drunk and homeless people. The bed was very squeaky We really enjoyed our stay and we recommend the Saint Louis Bastille Hotel for everyone who looks for a nice but not that expensive hotel.

Hotel original is a very uniquely designed boutique hotel in Bastille (30 seconds from metro exit 8), and surrounded by good food. We stayed in the Executive enchanted forest themed room, which had an open concept bath tub. Some reviews have mentioned the impracticality of this design, but it was not a major issue for us. The hotel has taken some measures to alleviate the problem such as partially lining the floors with rubber mats and having double layers of shower curtains around the entire tub, the inner of which can be tucked within the tub. Nevertheless, I can imagine that bigger sized folks may find it a tad claustrophobic and inconvenient to have to hold the shower head, shampoo bottles, shower and prevent water from splashing out onto the room floor all at once. We can see this happens often from the water stains on the mats. Well, it is not everyday you get a bath tub in an enchanted forest! So it was a once in a life time experience for us! But my advice is if you are planning to stay for more than 1 night and showering everyday, it may be more practical to go for the shower cubicles instead.

Our stay was good here at the Auberge Flora. We were on our honeymoon and decided to go to the Auberge Flora. It is walking distance from Richard Lenoir Station, which was good. However, Richard Lenoir Station is not very good for going to your typical sightseeing locations such as the tower, Champ Elysees, Notre Dame, etc. However, the Bastille area that this hotel is in seems much less touristy and has awesome eateries around it. The rooms inside the hotel are cozy and well designed. The amenities are also top-notch. The one thing that I agree with other reviewers on is that the staff is hit-or-miss. The young lady that helped us during the day time was very friendly and nice, but her night shift counterpart (a male) was kind of rude. The only reason I say this is that he told us for some reason, our room was wrong, but did not give us a reason why and simply told us "it's just wrong." I tried to ask what the difference between that room and the room he was moving us into was, and he did not give us any reason. This was the only thing that I think could be improved upon at the Auberge Flora. Otherwise, I think that this hotel is great for those who want to see Paris but also want to stay in a non-tourisy area.

This place was very cheap and clean. The front desk staff were very helpful, letting us drop off our bags for the day, calling taxis, answering questions, etc. It is upstairs and there is no elevator (as per usual in Paris). So don't book if you can't manage steps. Also there is no AC, which wasn't a problem early June when we were there, but is something to consider if you're booking later in the summer. The windows all open so you can get some air that way. The location isn't super central, but it's about a 10-15 minute walk to the Bastille area with loads of cafes and restaurants. It's a couple minutes from Voltaire metro, making the walk to the hotel super easy even with luggage. Around Voltaire there are essentials like a grocery and a few cafes. Overall the private room we booked was good for a quick stay. The front desk staff were so helpful and understanding in my mind that is what made the stay here worth it.

The best features of this property is it’s location and cleanliness. It is in the Oberkampf area, and connected to the various parts of Paris through several metro lines. Another plus was also the ability to borrow an umbrella when it was raining - this feature isn’t offered by many hotels. The downsides unfortunately outweigh the pros for us - the room is small and needs rethinking. A double room is best suited for a single traveller with minimal luggage but very tight for two people with large luggage. There is a lack of any kind of hooks in the bathroom so nowhere to hang towels or clothes - there is only one rail where the hand towel goes. The bedroom could also do with more hooks, especially near the front door/bathroom. The sliding door for the bathroom constantly came off the rails due to the uneven flooring height, so we would get trapped in the bathroom or could open the front door either . Air conditioning broke down after night 2.

it is very close from parmentier metro station,which is about 10 minutes with metro from central paris and it is about five minutes walk from famous place de la republique, the receptionist are very professional and welcoming , you can ask any questions such as local sites or places in paris and they will answer you with smile, the room is confortable with tv , wifi, shower and hair dryer and delicious breakfast

A group of friends and I were only in Paris for a very short stay (less than 24 hours). This hotel was perfectly located for us as we wanted to be able to walk to many of the highlights of downtown Paris without spend an exorbitant amount of money. We were warmly greeted in the beautiful lobby and were very pleased with our rooms. The rooms were perfect for us as all we needed were comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, and convenient location. Definitely a good value for the tourist that plans on spending their time exploring.

the blc hotel is a nice design hotel. as most rooms in paris, here as well, they are small. the bathroom (toilet has a door) can only be closed by a curtain. everything is white and very modern which i liked a lot. what you see on the pictures is what you get. the hotel is ideally located (in my opinion) there is a direct bus to the louvre (no. 76, 20mins), a direct bus to the gare du nord (no. 46, 25mins) and two metro stations around the corner. a lot of nice cafe and restaurants in walking distance, as is la bastille with bars etc. to go out. as well le marais can be reached walking (15mins) and as well a shopping street is around the corner. i really enjoyed staying in the hotel.
